Tuesday’s Dugout Discussion

The gameweek is brought to an end at Old Trafford tonight when Wayne Rooney will be expected to produce a performance to repay the faith of his many Fantasy Premier League owners. Rooney lines up against a West Ham side as Ferguson’s men look to bounce back from the 3-1 Goodison reverse.

The team news finds Rooney reassuringly in place up front with Berbatov once again. There are changes elsewhere though no doubt with Sunday’s Carling final in mind. Vidic returns to the defence in place of Evans, meaning that Brown keeps his place along with Neville at right-back. Ferdinand doesn’t make the bench despite returning from his ban. Even more suprisingly Ferguson goes with Foster in goal and Anderson and Gibson in midfield. Van der Sar, Carrick, Fletcher and Park all make way then. As for the Hammers – it’s just one change with Mark Noble coming in for the suspension tightrope walking Parker.

Tonight’s Dugout Discussion is now open in our live chatroom. Get over there now and start celebrating or mourning your Rooney armband.

Manager of the week in my work league of 35 people. 103 (Even with a 4 point hit to bring in the roon)

That puts me up to 5th place, which is where the prize money starts!

Thanks for all your help this week my fellow commenters!

See posts from previous at least three days. Opinions are divided. My opinion is if you have back up for next two weeks if he gets rotated go for him, but if you have only 11 players go for Carragher.

  7. Is it wise to rotate torres rooney and drogba for the upcoming weeks… Liverpool’s fixtures look to good…i was thinkning torres for rooney this week..then rooney for drogba next week…then ini mini mini mo for gw 31…

not worth taking the point hits.
It would be more sensible to switch other players, IMO
