Gameweek 29 – The FPL Captain Poll

The approaching gameweek has just about everything in the fantasy cannon. Double fixtures? Check. Missing fixtures? Check. Tasty Fixtures? Check once more. Throw in the qualifying round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup and the significance of the next six days becomes clear.

Even though they’re far from world beaters, we’re handed a dubious double helping of Bolton and Burnley, so how many are weighing up a punt on the likes of Chung-Yong Lee or Steven Fletcher? Check out Sir Paulos’ “Scouting the Doubles” articles for more on their prospects.

Elsewhere, while the heavy-hitters within the Chelsea, Villa, Spurs and Man City squads have the weekend off, the likes of Arsenal, United, Everton and Liverpool all have attractive opponents in their sights. So that should make for a rather interesting Fantasy Premier League Captains Poll too, should it not?

Alas, no. Since the poll opened at the weekend, Cesc Fabregas has dominated and is currently reigning supreme with a tide of approval from the Fantasy Football Scout readership.
