Saturday’s Dugout Discussion

Filed under: Injury News - Posted by: Akers

Today’s football starts at Fratton Park, in the FA Cup quarter-final between Portsmouth and Birmingham. For Portstmouth and Birmingham a place in the Wembley semi-fianl and a guaranteed £1.1M is at stake. For us, it’s a dress-rehearsal for Tuesday’s identical Premier League fixture.

In the Premier League today, there are only three fixtures to whet our appetite. With the first games kicking off at 3pm, there is no team news to give you at this point.

The Chatroom is already in full swing, where you will get all the team news as it breaks, and you can also make yourself feel a little better by hearing some horror stories of people taking 16 point hits, or only being able to field 8 players.

Finally, good luck to everyone taking part in the qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup II. With entries totalling 1033, qualification is no formality.

“Alex Chamberlain played three games for the first time in his career. He had a stiff neck at half-time, so I did not want to take a gamble with him. Then we had a problem with Koscielny, and I wanted to give some playing time to Benayoun.”
