Wednesday’s Dugout Discussion

Better late than never, tonight’s Dugout Discussion has opened up its doors to you locals. Get yourself a seat at the bar and contribute your own thoughts on tonight’s action as Burnley take on Stoke at Turf Moor and United look for a quarter-final place against AC Milan in the Champions League.

As this is typed Wayne Rooney, back in the United lineup tonight after his Molineux rest, has already handed Alex Ferguson’s men the lead putting them 4-2 ahead on aggregate. As for the game at Turf Moor, predictably that remains 0-0.

still undecided on young vs milner

i only ask because the last decision i had like this i got horribly horribly wrong…. the option was cohen vs lee… worst decision of the season

    leaning towards young myself

    • Dhubanmonkey says:

im doing gerrard and Tuncay out for both milner and young

    • Going with Young based on Villa’s DGW fixtures both being away. Villa’s style of play is counter attacking anyway so I’d expect the pace of Agbonlahor and Young to be at the heart of anything positive Villa produce.

Having said that, one of them will probably get tripped in the box and Milner will slot home the penalty :)

65 points :) Thank you Bent and Tuncay

    And United through emphatically

This is what i’m thinking for my team this coming GW

    Sorensen (Hart)
    Evra, Scharner, Collins (Samba) (Wilkinson)
    Modric, N’Zogbia, Fabregas, Valencia (Larsson)
    Rooney, Drogba, Zamora

Think i’ve got it right. Can anyone see any flaws?

  4. Hybrid.power says:

Not a bad week. 65 points.

United hump 4-0 and all the talk is about fooking Beckham!! What has football turned into?

    • Jamsiep says:

The moment he stepped on the pitch it ceased to be a football match, and that was always going to be the case.

To be fair though, as soon as Rooney scored in the second half everyone may as well have gone home.

  6. Hybrid.power says:

Who would you get in, Torres or Drogba?

  7. Cybertooth says:

How did Etherington play, sounded like he got a few crosses in?

I have noticed on the Budweiser Fantasy Football site that a lot of the time they give the 3BP’s to players who might not have gotten a good rating from the other fantasy leagues. The Sun, Mirror, Star etc….it can be a bit out in left field sometimes. It seems that the Budweiser judges have their favourites, O Hara, Eagles, Mascherano etc….

  8. viper006 says:

i went -8 this wk and fielded 11 players… my rivals only had 7 playin in the end, made no transfer saved his free for next wk. thought i extend my lead nicely despite -8, he actaully net finished 4 points more than me cause of bent…

    • That’s the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. Rodallega and Bent comprehensivley outscoring Rooney (against Wolves) and Torres (against Wigan) is ridiculous, but that’s the beauty of football and FF.

  9. who everyone having as captain this week? I’m half tempted to do n’zogbia again, it worked out really well in his last double gameweek

  10. Without the benefit of foresight (or hindsight for that matter), I’m wanting to get Villa and Everton players in next week when their fixtures are more favourable, but I reckon I could be looking at paying .4m more if I wait. Anyone brave enough to stick with with the likes of Man U, Arsenal and Tottenham players this week then choose DGW players based on results this weekend?

  11. jamboken77 says:

56 for the week , not bad!! How did everyone else get on?

  12. Cesc Machine says:

Check out this guys first two weeks in the game….not bad at all!!

how long do we have to wait for the scores on the doors ?

  14. Guv'na says:

OK, so I’m finally thinking of using my wild card. Who would be your must havs for the rest of the season? Cheers lads.

    • Keith says:

Collins, Baines, Milner, Fabregas, Diaby/Arshavin, Pienaar/Arteta, Rooney, Bendtner/Tevez… everyone will have them atleast.

  15. Guv'na says:

Ok good, so I was on the right track. You’ve given me something to think about with Baines and Tevez though. Thanks. Back to the drawing board….
