Gameweek 30 – The FPL Captain Poll

Morning all. With gameweek brought to an unspectacular end at Turf Moor last night, here’s a timely reminder that the poll canvasing your views on the candidates for gameweek 30′s Fantasy Premier League captain is quietly buzzing away in your middle column.

Villa’s James Milner, with his double gameweek, currently dominates with Didier Drogba trailing. Wayne Rooney is making up ground though and last night’s returns against AC Milan are likely to keep that trend going.

Cast your vote over the next 24 hours and, as usual, use this thread to discuss the options.

which 2 would you play out of Baines, Corluka and Lee.. assuming Fabregas doesnt play il have to choose 2

  2. If Fabregas doesnt play how should I order my subs: Gera, Carr & Cork?

    • Jamsiep says:

      Hmm..

Too many doubts over whether Cork will play 60 mins, so I would put him last.

I’d probably go Carr, Gera, Cork. It is unlikely that Gera will play 90 after last night.

    Hey team,

With Fabregas looking more and more like he wont play this weekend, I was hoping I could get some advice

    Team

    Gomes (Hart)
    Evra, Baines, Ivanovic (Fox, Craddock)
    Milner, N’Zogbia, Lee, Fabs (O’Hara)
    Rooney, Bendtner, Drogba (c)

I have already made a transfer for Milner and was wondering if its worth it to bring in Collins for Craddock and take a 4 point hit. The other option being starting Fox and his favaourable matchup with WW and bring in Collins next week

    What do you guys think

  4. bodrumunchen says:

Guys, Im seriously considering a 12 point hit to get Lamps, Young, Friedel & Collins in for: Fabs, Tuncay, Robbo & Evra:

    Team:
    Hart Robinson
    Baines Evra Dann Ivanovic Dawson
    McCarthy Diaby Fabregas Tuncay Pienaar
    Torres Bendtner Drogba

I do think that I will get that & more back over the next few weeks…Am I mad?

  5. matt16matt says:

Gerrard and Drgoba this week, or Lampard and Bentder?

  6. adi-wazza says:

    hart/myhill
    ridgewell distin sagna bikey ricketts
    fab lamp mccarthy duff milner
    fletchr rooney drogba

ricketts out…bikey dint play aganst stoke..sagna doubt for hull..fab out..wat should i do?..who to bring in..wanna make only 2 transfers..

  7. Custard says:

Blah blah all you guys are so lame, cant you ever decide who to put in your crud team?
I come on this often and its a great site, absolutely love it, but I was sure this was a thread to discuss the options for captain??
But here we go again with you little girls asking the same question, posting your whole team for a little bit of help, please, its not that hard.

Anyway as this was a Captain Poll thread im gonna say Drogba or Milner. Obviously Rooney is hard to ignore but i generally find that players dont do that well after a European Game….thoughts?

    • neopaint2005 says:

Milner of Lamps for me, also don’t think Rooney will do that well after a big mid week game.

      • Tommy J says:

That’s a bit harsh Custard. We all have strategies and i think it’s just a case of getting a 2nd opinion/confirmation or perhaps advice on something we’ve missed. I perhaps agree it shouldn’t be an open request(should make your own thoughts known)

    • Carlie1 says:

Did somebody say something????? Bitchy!!!!! Who’s the girl?

      • ilovelayla says:

Roondog has had only 66 minutes of football in 8 days, and confidence will be high. I have Rooney, Drogs and Milner and dunno who to captain??????

    • Jamsiep says:

Fulham may be knackered playing in Turin last night. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hodgson made a fair few changes, and effectively writes off the Utd game. After all, it is highly unlikely that they will get anything out of it.

Drogba, on the other hand, is most likely not to play 90 mins, given that Inter come to town on Tuesday night, and that game will be in Ancelotti’s mind.

Personally, I am going for Torres. Home to Pompey is too hard to ignore, and I can see Torres grabbing at least a brace.

      • ilovelayla says:

Might be a good shout, although he’s hardly on form at the moment.

I think you’re right about Fulham being too tired. Also factor in the revenge for our earlier defeat against Fulham this season and I can see a Rooney brace too! mmmmmm…..I’m no clearer what to do after 3 days mulling……

  8. nisag17 says:

Is anyone else considering breaking their start of the season hart sorenson combo to bring in Friedel. I’ve already taken a -4 in bringing milner for valencia and collins for baird this week. Might go for the above transfer. Or I could wait a gameweek and do Nzogbia to Young. So many questions, so much confusion.

  9. ilovelayla says:

    Downing>Fabs
    Drogba>Fletcher

Yes or no for an 8 pointer?
