The doomsday clock ticks ever closer for another week, and with under hour to go until the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline slams shut fantasy managers up and down the nation, and from countries far and wide, are being struck by bouts of paranoia…

“Should I really trust Liverpool given how they are performing?”

Well, despite everything else, the odds are still well in your favour right now.

“Why do I still own Adam Johnson, is he just going to be benched again after his midweek exertions?”

Quite probably, it seems. Our Team News certainly thinks so.

“Should I keep faith in Gareth Bale?”

The man from Del Monte, he say yes.

“Who should I captain – Tevez, Drogba or Gerrard?”

We looked at this in our weekly Captain’s Poll article, but ever since then the numbers are converging. It looks like the armband is going to be a key decision this week, getting it right could be vital.

All these questions and many more are perhaps running through your minds, so we’ve opened up the Saturday Surgery chatroom once more for you to throw out your most prescient queries in amongst like minded folks as we worry through these dying minutes together…

As for me, well I’m wondering whether to throw last minute caution to the wind and use my second free transfer – times have changed – to replace Graham Dorrans with someone, anyone, for this week only. Dirk Kuyt, anyone?

I’m even considering taking the armband off my trusty steed in Torres and giving it to Rafael Van Der Vaart. I do have a cup, The Cup, to qualify for after all, so I want to get this right …I’ll probably wimp out of both, and pay the price.

My opponent in a H2H league has captained Jordon Mutch of Birmingham.

I'm very surprised Ferguson has gone for Macheda and Owen up together. The pair of them are good finishers and not much else. Starting Hernandez, or even Bebe would make more sense tactically.

Of course, they'll both get hat-tricks now I've said that.

        It's 433 I think, not 442.

Nani and Macheda i think. Strange one though, Macheda has no pace and is most useful in the box. It's like sticking robbie fowler on the wing.

Park is playing even worse than usual, Bebe isn't rady for a start but yeah, Hernandez's pace would have made more sense. SAF <3 Macheda though.

And Owen isn't exactly the kind of player to lead the line. I thought it would be Nani on the left and Fletcher on the right with Anderson and Scholes spraying it around from deep in the centre.

It's a brave selection by SAF considering United are yet to win away from home in the league this season.

Agreed. Especially as the league is meant to be priority no1. Reckon Sunderland will get something out of this.

OR it's Nani and Anderson on the wings with a 442. That would be very odd though.
