Members Paddy Power Cup II – The Grand Final

After nine gruelling stages, Gameweek 33 will see the conclusion of the Members Paddy Power Cup II. We started with over 900 Fantasy managers and we are now down to just two, going head-to-head to scribe their name underneath our former champ, Kippax Kloggers.

Here’s how the Semi-Finals played out…

1The Lord6454mch
2Pablod4545*Fuzzy Dunlop

Despite a Mario Balotelli red card, The Lord breezed past mch to book his place in the final, with Clint Dempsey and Juan Mata doing most of the damage.

In the second Semi-Final, Pablod‘s eight-point hit brought the tie all-square, meaning that Fuzzy Dunlop‘s vastly superior overall rank saw him progress.

The Grand Final

The Lord Vs. Fuzzy Dunlop

3rd Place Play-Off

mch Vs. Pablod

Here’s a reminder of what is at stake…

  • Winner – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • Runner-up – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • 3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing the four Fantasy managers involved in this final stage the best of luck. May the best man win!

Does Bale instead of Dempsey to Walcott make sense to me if i'm gonna get him back in on my GW36 wildcard? Frees up a transfer for GW35 ('cause i won't need to get Dempsey back in) which means i can do McClean > Petrov or something

How likely do you think it is that Bale will play today and outscore Walcott?

Do it lad. Even if he plays it's 50/50 who'll score more then cott has Wigan at home next

spurs is playing against blackburn at home and bolton during the dgw36, so hopefully bale will outscore walcott's point against wolves and wigan

If Bale plays I think he has a decent chance of outscoring Walcott, he scored twice against them in December and Norwich like attacking, therefore, he's likely to be given a fair bit of space

OK.........but...........Bale apparently injured and Spurs have FA cup coming up. PLUS Arsenal playing Wolves who have lost the last 6 at home and conceded 20+ goals.

we cnt possibly predict that :s
but everton and pool are the most likely to rotate because their cup game is everything they have left this season
nani might have a run, most likely for young
      bale is doubtful
lennon might start for the forst time after coming back from injury
      and thats pretty much it
anything else will come as a big surprise imo

Im going with a "punt" for my captain this week.

So who do you think is best?

    A) Dempsey (CHE)
    B) Hoilett (LIV)

Both players are against sides that will more than likely be rotating alot due to FA Cup semi final games near. Dempsey is in form but Holiett is also playing well recently and seems involved in most of Blackburns play.

    Any thoughts would be appriciated?

Mrs China Mag will be keeping hold of dempsey till the end.

I need a defender for less than 6.6. I am thinking of Sagna over Kompany cause I already have Hart. Gives good balance to the defence. Good idea or should I be looking to double up on city?

Same here.. if i dont get cisse in this week i'll prob never get him in and look for better DGWer strikers and a luxury striker with a brilliant gw 38 game

    Going with:
    Vorm
    Simpson / Evans / Vermaelen / Assou-Ekotto
    Bale / Valencia / Walcott
    Cisse / RVP (c) / Rooney

    Subs: Ruddy, Richards, Miyachi, Sigg

More good choices than positions available. Not sure whether to choose Sigg over Bale or Simpson.

So what are people teams going to look like next week? As it stands I can field 9 players so I might save the transfer to roll on for the DGW, sound sensible?

Hey fellas. Quick repost before i go back to college for the afternoon.

Im tied at the top of my mini league. My rival will Captain Rooney, that I know.
Do I captain Sigurdsson for a differential captain or go with one of Rooney/RVP/Dempsey/Walcott.

Thanks for the quick vote guys. This is also the semis of a cup mini league im in as well.
