Members Paddy Power Cup II – The Grand Final

After nine gruelling stages, Gameweek 33 will see the conclusion of the Members Paddy Power Cup II. We started with over 900 Fantasy managers and we are now down to just two, going head-to-head to scribe their name underneath our former champ, Kippax Kloggers.

Here’s how the Semi-Finals played out…

1The Lord6454mch
2Pablod4545*Fuzzy Dunlop

Despite a Mario Balotelli red card, The Lord breezed past mch to book his place in the final, with Clint Dempsey and Juan Mata doing most of the damage.

In the second Semi-Final, Pablod‘s eight-point hit brought the tie all-square, meaning that Fuzzy Dunlop‘s vastly superior overall rank saw him progress.

The Grand Final

The Lord Vs. Fuzzy Dunlop

3rd Place Play-Off

mch Vs. Pablod

Here’s a reminder of what is at stake…

  • Winner – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • Runner-up – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • 3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing the four Fantasy managers involved in this final stage the best of luck. May the best man win!

Not sure about either. Def not the 1st one. Bolton can't defend! Bring in Turner for Sunderland next week.

I wouldn't get a Bolton defender. I would do Kelly->Turner, and Bale->Walcott. You should probably ask nicer as well, you'll get more replies.

    Current team for this week:

    Mignolet
    Evans Vermaelen BAE
    Valencia Walctott Bale Sigurdsson
    RVP Rooney Jelavic

    Subs: Kenny Simpson Caulker Moses

I'm thinking Simpson should probably be in with NEW a high chance of a cleanie, do I just go with what I have, with Bale being a doubt Simpson could come in anyway and Man U could well rotate although I dont know.

    Any help?

    Vorm
    - 0 CS in the last 3 games but 3 consecutive CS before the last 3 games (2 were away to WIG & FUL)
    - QPR failed to score once and scored 8 goals in the last 6 games

    Schwarzer
    - 2 CS (at home v WOL and away v BOL) in last 6 games.
    - Only conceded more than 1 goal once.
    - Chelsea failed to score in 2 games (at home v TOT and away v WBA) in the last 6 games

CS odds of the two are not much different.

Who should I start in goal? Vorm now, but leaning more to Schwarzer.

Morning everyone! Im in a bit of a pickle this morning! Due to be excellent midfield and defence Im playing three defenders.

The problem is I have to bench one of Lescott, Evans and BAE! I am very confused.

Presently I have benched Evans with the dubious logic that Wigan have been pretty good at attacking recently and will be trying desperately to avoid relegation.

    Is this the right decision?

P.s dont suggest playing all of them as this really is out of the question unfortunately for me!

    Just throwing this out there

Young came off early against QPR. Valencia played full 90.

    Valencia to be rested?

Possibly. I did consider Nani for this reason earlier

      Possibly...

It's times like these you need 15 regular starters

Considering how Valencia played in the last away game I'd say no.

Young also sat out most of the Blackburn game while Valencia played the 90.

I do think Nani will start, he's meant to have trained for a week and it's a good game to get him up to speed, very difficult to say who would drop out though, seeing as Young was pretty poor yesterday.

Bale to Walcott if you had a wildcard to get Bale back for the double?

yeah as long as you don't lose too much money on him. Though if bale plays he could rip Norwich apart. :/

It's a tough one, because if Bale is fit he could tear Norwich a new one. But if not it would be the perfect transfer.

Can't you get rid of someone else?

I'm considering the same, but will wait till the last minute. Maybe we're getting some Bale news, but wouldn't count on it. I'm also afraid that Wenger is going to rotate against Wolves.

Just one final check, have i picked the right XI. I was unsure about benching Krul and Cahill.

    Hart
    Baines Evans Caulker
    Valencia Dempsey Siggy Walcott
    RVP(C) Rooney Cisse(vc)

    Krul, Cahill, McClean, Kelly

i think hart over krul is good
cahill and caulker and both unlikely to keep a CS
      id go cahill though
