Dugout Discussion

Monday Dugout Discussion

The Dugout Discussion opens for the concluding fixture of Gameweek 34, which sees 17th placed Wigan Athletic travel down the 3rd placed Arsenal. The team news for the game is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Vermaelen, Andre Santos, Song, Arteta, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, van Persie.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, Boyce, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour, Moses, Di Santo, Gomez.

A single change from the side that brushed Wolves aside for the Gunners, as Tomas Rosicky comes in for Aaron Ramsey in midfield.

Despite condemning Manchester United to only their fourth defeat of the season, Shaun Maloney isn’t in the visitors squad. Jordi Gomez replaces the Malaysian born Scot.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

Just done rvp to Agureo to give my a front 3 of Roo Ciss Agureo(c). Main reason is that my rival has him as cap and i dont want to take the risk of him wiping out my 48pt lead and a chance to win 650. I still think rvp will do well. I know roo missed alot of chances but as they say at least he was in the goal scoring position and ive a gut feeling he will be on fire v everton. And i Also i think the city v utd game will have alot of goals where am not sure how rvp will do v stoke

I dont think its that big of a deal. You have to say agureo will do better this week, am keeping ciss, so that leaves roo v rvp and to me roo has a better chance of scoring big this week. You just cant go on what rvp scored the last time they played. That was under AVB

More awful than watching the Eurovision Song Contest, but not as bad as killing a kitten.

I always reckon that goalies a good shout for dgws due to the save ponts, where-as a defender with 2 mediocre fixtures is goign to score you 3-4 pts, whcih is pretty much irrelevant.

      Rooney.

QPR doing well at hom and Tottenham struggling lately. Most people waiting to see that game before 36 dgw plans are made.

      Rooney.

Ade has been touted as a DGW prospect but he only has the QPR game to get going. i can't see it happening though.

think he bit more than a DGW potential tho as has 2 easier fixtures after that aswell and after getting knocked out of the cup they no need to rotate but think ur right for this week Rooney at home better than ADE away at QPR

Rooney does not perform well against Everton. M'colleague Big Dunc knows more about this, apparently Moyes is very good at arranging his team to minimise and wind up Rooney. The stats would indicate that Rooney performs poorly against Everton.

Ade is a mystery....he can get 20 pts or 2pts...there is no way of knowing. I would never write him off though.

What's everyone doing for captaincy this week? Rooney v everton and rvp against Chelsea are not the most inspiring choices.

I think for those preserving a lead these are the best:

Dempsey surely must score against Wigan.
    Cisse is another good shout.

    For those chasing a lead:

Ageuro or Tevez look great options.

I think Aguero/Tevez is the best option, chasing or not

I'm leading all my ML's and feel Aguero is the better option out of my lot (including the likes of Rooney,RVP,Dempsey etc)

FPL Open & Elite 64 Updated.

Quarter Final Stage : only 1 team left with a chance to do the double.

The glamour tie in the FPL Open is Sporting vs Fuzzy.

The glamour tie in the Elite 64 is Stufail vs "Aardvarks".
Stufail is the big favourite if he can get past this round as he is the highest seed & still has his Wildcard.
Not bad for #131 in the World prior to baps.
