Dugout Discussion

Sunday Dugout Discussion

Yet again both Manchester clubs in are involved in Sunday Premier League action. With most fantasy managers cheering on their captain today, the Dugout Discussion opens to follow all the action from the three games on show.

We start at Old Trafford as United look to open up an eight point gap with a victory against Everton. The team news from the match-up is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Man United XI: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Nani, Rooney, Welbeck.

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Neville, Osman, Heitinga, Gibson, Pienaar, Fellaini, Jelavic.

Nani returns to United’s starting eleven for the first time in eight games, with Ashley Young taking his place on the substitutes bench. Facing his former employer, Darron Gibson starts for Everton.

Then it’s over to bottom of the league Wolves, where City are in town needing three points regardless of the earlier result. Kicking off at the same time, Liverpool and West Brom are also in action, with Roy Hodgson back at Anfield for the first time since departing as Liverpool manager.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

I must concur with Triggerlips regarding Rooney and Everton.

The more I play this game the more I feel that X player scoring 0 goals vs Y is pretty meaningless.

You could say, the trend will continue - or you could say that player will be even more determined to break that trend.

At the end of the day Rooney plays further upfield at OT than he tends to away and his recent home form is orgasmic.

Really Hate this gw, so time to move on.

Thinking RVP to cisse, as tevez has more to play for, to give me. Caulker - cahill/huth? For -4

    KRUL

    ENRIQUE SIMPSON CAHILL/HUTH

    Sess BALE DEMPSEY Siggy

    CISSE Tevez ADE

Then gw 36 get one of RVP or rooney back.

    Thoughts?

Really hard decision for the forward picks.

By the look of form and fixture, it looks not so bad to lose RvP.

RvP .. sto, NOR, wba .. last open-play goal since 12 Mar
Rooney .. mci, SWA, sun .. 6 goals (2 pk) in last 6 games
Aguero .. MUN, new, QPR .. 5 goals + 2 assists in last 4 games

Can I make a small request. Can we please see less moaning about people who shipped Rooney. I did that this week and obviously regret it. However, no one put a gin to my head and forced me to do it. If you lose points through something beyond your control, but please don't moan or blame others for the choices YOU make failing. I am gutted I made that choice, but I did it, no one else, no moaning from me. There is too much gloating and moaning on here sometimes IMO.

yup, i will have 9 something

Today;s game also persuaded not to take a hit for a keeper. Mings is keeping CS, and De Gea will play in GW37 now, so will spend elsewhere. Not sure on Pienaar pr VdV yet, VdV has more potential, but Pienaar has some major form.

Only issue is which DGW defender to get, Kolarov has to go, that is one punt that has failed massively. Am leaning towards Cahill, but he may not play both games.

Hi lads! ๐Ÿ™‚ THe ones who replied to this on last page, don't need to reply again.

My ML’s are already won, by me.
I’m sitting around 13,000 place in the overall, and now want to have some fun with FPL. And therefore I just want differentials, and hope for them to bring the goods.
Names I have managed to come up with so far is:
    Maxi
    Torres
    Kalou
    Bertrand
    Gerrard
VDV(maybe not a much differential) I will get him in.

So please, could you mention me some DGW differentials?
    Very much appreciated! ๐Ÿ˜€

I might get in the Torre wagon. Great fixtures but will he play all the games?

Could be a good punt if you're chasing, otherwise I would avoid

    Wildcard Draft, thoughts?

    Howard/Bogdan

    Huth/Cahill/Walker/Jags/Evans

    Bale/Moses/VdV/Ben Arfa/Siggy

    Cisse/Rooney/RvP

w/ 1 million in the bank.

Right lads, your opinions on this wild card team

    Cech (Bogdan)
    Simpson, BAE, Huth (Vermaelen, Evans)
    Dempsey, Bale, Gylfi, VDV
    Cisse, RVP, Jelavic

    Vermaelen, Valencia, Evans
    Bank £1m

Was considering Barfa instead of VDV but don't want 3 Newcastle going into the last 2 weeks. Wigan and Chelsea away won't be easy for Newcastle's double anyway.
Also Friedel & Cahill instead of Cech & BAE would save me £1.8m but they're less nailed on.
Expensive bench but it sets me up nicely for the final 2 gameweeks.
Half considering Pogrebynak but I think Cisse & Jelavic just shade it.

    Feedback much appreciated ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don't fancy RVP's chances vs Stoke tbh. I'd get another striker in Ade or bench RVP.

Simp & BAE aren't particularly useful for the DGW as well. I'd even start Verm over Simp.

Hilario for 2nd keeper - you're then covered if Cech's rested. Don't like Bale or RVP at the mo.

Looks pretty good to me. I'm holding on to Rooney for the last two gameweeks but your team definitely looks better than mine for this week.
