The Scout’s Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Classic League has now been renewed and is open for registration. Those who participated in our league last season will have been automatically renewed as members of our league again this term.

If you’re new to the Scout, then you’ll need to go to the league page on the FPL site, click “Join a League”, select “Private League” and enter the following code – 40184-13425. You’ll find this code on the homepage, in the middle column, from now on.

What do you get if you win the Classic League? Huge kudos and a place in the hall of fame alongside Jon Reeson, Chris McGurn and last season’s winner Gary McLean. Plus, of course, if you’ve won the Scout league, you’re likely to be right up there with the best FPL managers, challenging for the top prize. Two of the last three FPL Champions have come from the Fantasy Football Scout League, while Gary McLean ranked third overall last season, missing out on the crown on the final day by just ten points. In other words, the standard is pretty bloody high.

We’ll be putting together regular league updates on the site, tracking the progress of the front runners as the Gameweeks roll by and those tussling at the top will, of course, get regular mentions in the ScoutCast.

We will also be launching a Members League – details of that will be appearing in the Members area early next week.

    isacki - rotation makes my head spin. says:

    United are playing a 4-4-1-1 with Kagawa “in principle” in the hole – but the guy is amazing. He drifts everywhere, his average position would be all over the opponent’s half. Drops deep to help out and also surges forward, often the furthest player forward. He is involved in everything.

    Who’s had Birra Moretti?

    Lovely Italian lager, but… and there is a but – it gives me one hell of a hangover. There must be something in that, that isn’t in the likes of Carling, Becks, Fosters etc as even 3 large bottles of it can make me feel like death the morning after.

      I have McCartney too. Thinking Demel is more likely to be nailed on tho. Other than that looks good. As you’re lacking spurs coverage id consider this:
      Aguero -> Tevez
      Hughes -> Hangeland
      Kagawa -> Bale
      Ivanovic -> Terry
      Graham -> D.Cisse

      All assuming u will get Rooney for Torres in gw2. See how much Tevez improves ur team!

        Not sure Holt is a good punt. Pog/Graham/Petric/D.Cisse are similar priced better options.
        Also, just realised u have no spurs! Use the 2 mil to get Kagawa for McClean now, then do Torres to Adebayor in GW2.

        Because there’s not much opinion involved in choosing the easiest fixture out of 2 or 3 options, it’s just a summary, the same way that the season ticker on the right is. Taking someone else’s opinion is asking them “which striker should I take” and doing what they say.

              You're Not, You're Not Incredible says:

              OK, let’s take the Arsenal – Tottenham rotation (as it’s the first one) suggestion on that spreadsheet:

              GW6 – Ars v Che, Man v Tot
              GW12 – Ars v Tot
              GW14 – Eve v Ars, Tot v Liv
              GW20 – Ars v New, Sun v Tot
              GW22 – Ars v Mci, QPR v Tot
              GW23 – Che v Ars, Tot v Man
              GW24 – Ars v Liv, Nor v Tot
              GW25 – Ars v Sto, WBA v Tot
              GW26 – Sun v Ars, Tot v New
              GW28 – Tot v Ars
              GW29 – Ars v Eve, Liv v Tot
              GW32 – WBA v Ars, Tot v Eve
              GW34 – Ful v Ars, Tot v Mci
              GW35 – Ars v Man, Wig v Tot

              So, in MY opinion, 14 GWs that stand out as offering a poor chance of clean sheets, which I believe makes this a poor rotational pairing; as these were two of the teams that performed best defensively last season (Tottenham 4th, Arsenal 7th least goals conceded!), there must surely be a better pairing if you were wanting to rotate either of these teams’ defenders.
