Glad I (luckily) made all the right decisions this week! Hazard over Mata, Michu over Taarabt, Ivanovic over Cole, Tevez over Aguero, and Petric over Graham! And I’m enjoying my 1300 rank :D

    Two questions for you all:

    (1) is VDV likely to start the next two home games?
    (2) is Rooney likely to go up before next week?

      Shatner's Bassoon says:

No idea about VDV (I’ve avoided completely and gone for Bale).
No-one can answer the Rooney question yet because United don’t play until tonight. If he has a screamer he might well rises. If he has a quiet game then it’s unlikely.

Does anyone know what the go is with trading before the gameweek ends? I’m new to this and am confused about the transfer system. If I make my changes now when the players haven’t changed value will I get them for that value or will my budget be adjusted after the gameweek ends?

    1. August 20 at 10:15 am

      Shatner's Bassoon says:

You can spend up to your budget limit on anyone you can afford, at any time. You only ever pay the ‘live’ price for a player. You can never go into the red. Trading before a gameweek ends is quite common and often necessary to avoid price rises. The only way to ‘make’ money is by owning a player while his price rises. When you sell this player you cash in his original price plus half of his price rise (rounded down if necessary). Does that clear things up?

I’m a bit worried about sinclair as if he changes club he might get considerably less game time. I think he’ll probably do well but not worth the risk for me. I’ve made my changes already and unfortunately I had to use my wildcard so went for value last night. Bought michu, Hughes and Dyer on my bench hopefully to get some value. What’s ur thoughts on Hughes? Do you think he’ll keep his starting spot for a while because I really think Fulham defense will do good again this season?

      JoeAllenkey says:

I think he had a very solid premier league debut. Myself being a Liverpool supporter wasn’t happy with our game but I watched the chelsea game with a friend and thought hazard stood up. Selfish players can be very successful as ronaldo and more recently balotelli has shown. I think he’s gonna have a big season.

Heres my team, im abit stuck on what to do
Mainly the problem is that i have 3 Chelsea, and don’t want 15 million on the bench for a game week 3

Im thinking waiting for the knee scan of Aguero

      FT
Sinclair -> Dyer (Sinclair might not be starting)

Then in Game week 2, Take a Hit and do
Lampard or Ashley Cole —> Michu
      Torres –> Rooney

And then hopefully Aguero will be fit Gameweek3 (Hoping Mancini won’t be too cautious)
I see this as a good option as it gets rid of 2 Chelsea players, with one on the bench for just a gameweek
Also, gameweek 2 is liverpool vs man city, I can’t see it being a huge game for Aguero anyways

Please give me ur opinions or possible options, this is truely messing with my head

“I love to attack and I love to go up front...It is a little more difficult than when you are playing centre-back. If you play the way that I want to play, I think my influence is better as a left-back. For the team, it is best that I play as a centre-back. I like to bring the ball out. You need to move the game quickly, and that is one of my qualities as well.”

Jan Vertonghen outlines what he feels is his best position for Andre Villas-Boas
