There’s two tasty fixtures on the bill today, as the Dugout Discussion opens for the second installment of Gameweek two. We start at the Britannia Stadium as Stoke City host Arsenal, and the team news is in…

Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Cameron, Whelan, Kightly, Walters, Crouch.

Arsenal XI: Mannone, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Diaby, Arteta, Podolski, Cazorla, Gervinho, Giroud.

Having been cleared to play, new signing Geoff Cameron makes his Potters debut in midfield. The visitors are without Wojciech Szczesnydue to a rib injury, so Vito Mannone is between the sticks. There’s a first league start for Olivier Giroud, with Theo Walcott the player making way.

Following that game we move to Anfield, where bottom of the league Liverpool welcome the visit of the Premier League champions Manchester City.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is the place to follow all the action as it unfolds, and it can be accessed right here.

    Hey guys, hope the Tevez goal has made the majority happy here :)

    Need to sort these transfers asap, so what I was thinking was..

    Lampard -> Kagawa
    Torres -> Van Persie

    These would leave my mid/str as

    Bale – Cazorla – Noble – Kagawa
    Tevez – Graham – RVP

    Would be grateful for any advice,
    cheerss

    Shark Dude says:

    Why did Clichy get dropped from the squad today?!

    Is my team terrible? I’m holding out on the WC. Rooney –> Tevez made. Ramires –> Routledge probably the other for a 4 pt hit.

    Jaas / Ruddy

    Clichy / Gibbs / Hange / R Taylor / Harte

    Snodgrass / Hoilett / Routledge / Sig / Kagawa

    Tevez / Torres / Vaz Te

    Lots of them were subbed or subs this week – but keeping faith with most. Over the next few i’ll sift out Hoilett, R Taylor and Vaz Te (think the latter will score well at home but be sub every away match)

    Who to get rid of to bring in RVP for Rooney (-4pt)?
    Currently looking at A) Cole to Distin/Jags (have Vorm in net btw)
    or
    B) Cazorla/Nasri to Pienaar/Michu

    The current mid and defence consists of Cole, Zab, Rafael, Nelsen, Clyne
    Nasri, Cazorla, Hazard, Noble, Guthrie
    (Roon, Tevez, Graham)
    ;)

        Definitely not a bad bit of business by Wolves. Jarvis and Fletcher moved on for close to £25m

        Fletcher an interesting prospect…but definitely would not have him in front of Suarez. Matter of fact, think there is better value around the £6-£6.5m range for an alternate striker. Graham, Cisse, Lambert, Di Santo/Kone, Petric

“I love to attack and I love to go up front...It is a little more difficult than when you are playing centre-back. If you play the way that I want to play, I think my influence is better as a left-back. For the team, it is best that I play as a centre-back. I like to bring the ball out. You need to move the game quickly, and that is one of my qualities as well.”

Jan Vertonghen outlines what he feels is his best position for Andre Villas-Boas
