Saturday Surgery – Gameweek 7
Filed under: Matchday Surgery - Posted by: Mark
Cherish this time. Next weekend we’ll be without all this and be faced with squaring up to real life without Fantasy Football as a distraction. With the last international break still in memory, it’s not something I’m generally looking forward too.
Let’s make the most of the final hour or so, then. Get into our Saturday Surgery chatroom and leak your “innermosts” in front of your Fantasy football peers in real-time.
Before you find yourself gripped by the deadline stress, why not take five to take in Andy’s Catch-Up of all the key coverage we served you this week. Pop back here in a bit for another “Pre-match Preamble” and stick around for the Dugout Discussion that kick’s off just before the City game gets our Gameweek moving.

WC Team
Vorm (Berg)
Cashley – Rafael – Kompany (Demel, Clyne)
Michu – Hazard – Bale – Sterling (Kacanikilik)
Tevez – Ba – Torres
Torres transferred next week due to bad fixture.
Anybody provide any ideas?

All set? Still not positive on captain…
Foster
Baines Jenkinson Demel
Hazard Cazorla Pienaar Michu
RVP (c) Tevez Lambert (vc)
Begovic Sterling Cuellar S.Taylor
October 6 at 10:43 am
saint4life says:
I’d captain Lambert, tevez, haz or michu over rvp personally but that’s just me (and I do have rvp) I just think rooney could be the one to come good for its this week, plus I fear he will be back on pens too and although new are missing key defenders they are still fairly tight at the back.
October 6 at 10:37 am
blind faith says:
ba, rvp, tevez or hazard for captain choice?
I’m leaning to hazard but he’s gone a little quiet and especially would have expected points against qpr and stoke.
October 6 at 10:42 am
lightspeed says:
Qpr maybe, stoke….no.
Too many players competing for points in Chelsea’s midfield. Hazard has great potential today but irrespective of he performs he will be leaving my team next Gw.
Despite the fixture I would trust tevez, RVP and ba more for the armband.

SeVeN21 says:
Foster
Ivanovic(H) – Zabaleta(H) – Baines(A)
Bale(H)[C] – Hazard (H)[VC] – Michu(H) – Cazorla(A)
Fletcher(A) – Berbatov(A) – Tevez(H)
Jaaskelainen Clyne Demel Britton
Really, really need a good score from this lineup.

China Mag says:
Official toon website team news lists saylor and colo as doubts. Respected fan website http://www.nufc.com has this to say:
“Squad: To follow. Steve Harper will keep goal in the continued absence of Tim Krul, while Rob Elliot’s injury against Bordeaux means that rookie Jak Alnwick is expected to be called up to the bench as cover.
Ryan Taylor and Steven Taylor both remain out, but there’s a chance that Fabricio Coloccini could feature. Danny Simpson completed 90 minutes in midweek and comes into contention for a place against his old side.”
No mention of either being out in the local paper today.
I really think that the premier league website might be jumping the gun.
October 6 at 10:38 am
China Mag says:
They could well be out, I’m just not sure that this has been confirmed yet
October 6 at 10:39 am
China Mag says:
Even if the premier league website did get the news first, all of the local journos would have been on to it by now

Bemba Da says:
which means rvp not great capt shout if they back…argghhh
October 6 at 10:41 am
lightspeed says:
They will be rusty.
RVP ftw
October 6 at 10:44 am
China Mag says:
I expect at least one of them to be out, if not both. But I think there is still some hope that they will play
October 6 at 10:40 am
lfcserg says:
I’ve narrowed it down to two first to 5 votes wins
A) Bale
B) Michu
Obviously Bale is safer, but i’ve got a hunch, Michu will get double figures.
October 6 at 10:43 am
lightspeed says:
Agree that michu could score well.
The swans weren’t great last week but then again reading at home aren’t stoke away.
Play safe IMO.
October 6 at 10:49 am
GreennRed says:
Michu won’t get double figures. Bale probably will.
October 6 at 10:42 am
Coldplay - Krohn-Delhi A True Legend says:
“We played on Wednesday night and on Saturday we start at lunchtime – it doesn’t give the players much time to recover which is why I had to rest some players against Dortmund,” said Mancini.
Good news for Tevez?
October 6 at 10:43 am
Bemba Da says:
yes but apparently bad news for aguero and silva
October 6 at 10:47 am
lightspeed says:
Seems that way.
Was planning tevez to suarez, doesn’t seem right this week tho if he is looking at starting.
October 6 at 10:54 am
GreennRed says:
Keep Carlos. I reckon Suarez will do well to score one v Stoke, no chance he’ll repeat last weekend’s performance.

October 6 at 10:46 am
Bemba Da says:
keep d graham or transfer out to lambert?
October 6 at 10:44 am

I’d go Ricky
October 6 at 10:47 am

Lambert, if it’s for free.
October 6 at 10:44 am
Bemba Da says:
d graham has wigan and reading 2 easiest games
it is for free however and I am strongly considering
October 6 at 10:52 am

Have a glance over at fiso. Someone reporting graham could be carrying an injury.
Dont shoot the messenger. ☺

Yaya -> Mata or save FT?
October 6 at 10:49 am
Bemba Da says:
i’d do it
only because man city are not playing great at the minute and sunderland will most likely keep it tight
October 6 at 10:50 am
inaam123 says:
aguero start?
October 6 at 10:54 am
Kagawa Fried Chicken says:
Leading most of my leagues and currently got the armband on him as a differential despite having Jelly, RVP and Bale. Hoping he’s not one of the 5 changes

Cheers boys

Hay Number 2- "Every day and in every way, I am getting better, and better" says:
If I was bringing either in it would be Mata, I already have Hazard so I am sticking. But if I am honest judging by their fixtures I would leave both if I could and go Bale!
