The Big Numbers – Gameweek 17

While Sunday brought a rather tepid conclusion to the weekend’s action, the lack of incident allowed us more time to digest the numbers behind the Gameweek so far. In this latest foray into the depths of our members data, we offer further insight on the performances of Adel Taarabt, Raheem Sterling and David Silva not only for this weekend, but the last four Gameweeks and season so far. As for Glen Johnson, well, we’ll let the numbers do the talking…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      You could just do Fellaini to Ya Ya for no hit City cover. But at the same time, when you see Silva in your team come Saturday, you'll feel all fuzzy inside. Do it.

                It means in the list of stats, Baker has better stats in 97% of the categories. The only stat Clark leads is pass completion % 😯

                Baker sh!ts all over him in the other stats.

        Well, Herd(a midfielder) has been playing RCB, Clark CB and Baker LCB, so I would think that Vlaar would replace Herd, but I'm no expert.

          I did Clark > GJ for -4 this week and was sh*tting bricks when it was 0-3 😆

          I reckon Lowton is the best route into the AVL defence. Their midfield lacks width and the wingbacks provide it at most times. See Lowton's average positions in the last 3-4 GWs. Impressive.

        Clyne and Nelsen are cheap and have been good bench players for me.

        O'Brien I just put in recently as West Ham fixtures are becoming good.

        And for Gibbs- Arsenal have a decent 3-4 fixtures.

          Meditation retreat for 10 days... completely isolated location, beautiful surroundings...

          I was learning and practising Vipassana meditation and the results have been staggering... it is completely free from any sect, cult, or religion... completely universal...

          It is the same technique that was the original teaching of Gotama the Buddha, before it was lost to India for centuries for several reasons... luckily some monks in Burma managed to retain the knowledge and keep it's purity of practice in tact...

          My teacher Goenka, who is from Burma, was the man responsible for bringing it back to India...

          Feel so much better for the experience, really opened my eyes to the possibilities of understanding the cause or misery in the world...

          I have taken a few more steps on my path to liberation.. 😀

Well , since Gotamas original teachings were handed down by word of mouth and never put down in writing for many many centuries after he died what you were taught on ur little excursion would have probably been nothing remotely close to what this obese man taught..... His original teachings may have been something like this for all we know..." "Farting is the key to relief". Chinese whisper that puppy for a thousand years and you get what you were taught.

          TotalFPL is pretty bad in general so I never go on there. FISO is mostly spot on and just don't bother to change the totals for players on orange flags for some reason. Just keep in mind that when on an orange flag players need -150% to drop.

              Normal yellow flags don't change anything. Orange flags increase the NTO requirements but FISO don't bother to change it for some reason. Most who use the site know that orange = -150% and they are wayyyyyy more accurate that TFPL in general so you're better of using them.

      I wasn't even in full control of my team for the last two weeks, I handed my team over with instructions to my little brother to take the reigns for me while I was away...

      Just got back to see that my Cuellar punt worked out quite well, I'm glad I was not around to watch that last game... 94th minute, would have been ripping my hair out...

    Think I'm down to the below options this week - which do peeps think is the best one? Also bear in mind that I'll likely be WCing straight after GW21, so transfers from now on in are fairly short term....

    A) Fellaini -> Yaya
    B) Fellaini -> Nolan (leaves enough in the bank for Sess -> Michu next week)
    C) Fellaini -> Puncheon/Sterling (leaves enough for Sess -> Bale/Mata next week)
    D) Fellaini & Sess -> Mata/Bale & Puncheon/Sterling (4 point hit)
    E) Save the transfer

    Jaask, (Federici)
    Enrique, Cuellar, Clyne, (McCartney), (Hughes)
    Silva, Walcott, Sessegnon, Taarabt, (Fellaini)
    RVP, Suarez, Ba

        Cheers guys.

        Who's going to take Young's place?

        I rather like Pilkman - he scored a fair few points for me last year and he's a real homeboy. Norwich have several home games on the horizon and seem to be in good form. Pilkman and Puncheon also rotate rather nicely.

        I'm looking for a replacement for AfroClown and don't want to go down the Yaya road. Will think on't.

          I think Fergie will give some gametime to Welbeck/Chico over Xmas. Also, Kagawa will be in the mix if he's back from injury (not sure on that one though).

          Pilks is ok, but I prefer Snodgrass. Also, NOR have pretty grim fixtures for the foreseeable. I think there are better options - Taarabt rotates ok with Puncheon and his fixtures are better short term imo.
