Possibly the most un-Christmas-like Christmas Podcast we’ve ever recorded, thanks mainly to Granville being banned from editing in the entire MP3 of Dean Martin’s “Let it Snow” but also because neither of us had time to sort our pressies. To be fair, I’m surprised that Granville felt an ounce Christmas spirit after Santi’s showing at Reading opened up a 40-point “chasm” in our min-league. Do I have it all wrapped up already?

To his credit, my co-host takes it all on his bearded chin, joining me to discuss the Felliani fallout, its impact on the transfer trends in “all aboard”, a preview of the weekend fixtures and provided his assistance in the management of the ScoutCast team: an outfit which plundered no less than 80 points thanks to Santi’s haul and Reading’s bulging net.

  2. Morning

    SUAREZ IS MY CA-APTAIN, DOO-DAH, DOO-DAHHHHH

    That's my captaincy debate over.

    • 2 years, 2 days ago
    1. +1 was thinking that and ppls told me that im crazy. i also have tevez, nastasic, yaya, rvp, cazorla, michu, but Suarez it is ;)

    2. MINE TOO ALL DAY, MINE TOO ALL DAY

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
      1. When he strikes it's gonna be with great vengeance.

        • 2 years, 2 days ago
    3. Fixture yes. What about form?

Hope you are right and he does well as I have him but its RVP captain for me.

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
      1. He's had the most shots (both total and on target I think) without scoring in the last 4 gameweeks, if there's an explosion imminent table for forwards I'm sure he'd be top of that. But we knew that anyway, it's Suarez!

I think the main argument against him is that he's had a run of blanks. But the stats say that can't last, and his play against leaky Fulham isn't going to be influenced by his FPL history!

        • 2 years, 2 days ago
        1. That's fair enough mate. I don't have access to the stats as I'm not a member.

Lets hope he does well then.

          • 2 years, 2 days ago
          1. Yep, for those who can it's at http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/public-stats-tables/view/266/

Suffice to say, for goal attempts he is your man!

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
    2. 18 mins

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
  4. Ac Milan 50/1 to win the champs league. How the mighty have fallen.

    • 2 years, 2 days ago
    1. i bet its about 100/1 for liverpool just to get into the champion league group stage

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
  5. Maybe I'm just getting old but the tin of roses don't taste as good as the good old days :(

  6. All good? Might captain Silva, not sure.

    Begovic
    Baines Rafael Santon
    Bale Puncheon Silva(vc) Michu
    RVP(c) Defoe Suarez

    Cerny Sterling Cuellar Baker

    • 2 years, 2 days ago
    1. Captain Silva

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
    2. Yer looks OK, think Stoke are going to limit Defoes and Bales scoring this week. Hopefully Silva is enough City coverage, Im going with just him.

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
      1. you captaining silva dago or going rvp? mi tempted with suarez. have a sneaky gut feeling about him this week. normally dont have any when it comes to him

        • 2 years, 2 days ago
        1. Boringly RVP.

          • 2 years, 2 days ago
      2. Yeah it's a tough fixture for Spurs, could easily end up 0-0 but just hoping I get lucky for once to be honest.

Silva was all I could do really, hope he does a Santi...

        • 2 years, 2 days ago
        1. Silva I can see couple of assists. I am still in pain from Santis hat trick. You never know this seasons been a weird one, Spurs could destroy Stoke, at least its at there ground. Good luck.

          • 2 years, 2 days ago
  7. Any links to watch the draw?

    • 2 years, 2 days ago
      1. Thank you

        • 2 years, 2 days ago
  8. Bench one from Sterling, Snoddgrass and Berba

    • 2 years, 2 days ago
    1. Very likely that Sterling won't play so him.

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
      • 2 years, 2 days ago
      1. source? he was very likely to be rested last week as well...

        • 2 years, 2 days ago
        1. Rodgers said that he was really tired and singled him and Allen out as players who REALLY needed a rest. Last week was just bib theory rumours. This week is much more real.

          • 2 years, 2 days ago
          1. in case we were 100 % he would start, would you still bench him? If sturridge joins Liverpool is seems pretty likely sterling could get a rest at that time instead

            • 2 years, 2 days ago
  9. so how do you all rate the likelihood of these three to start: tevez, enrique, rafael? i think all three will start, but maybe i'm letting hope bias a prediction

    • 2 years, 2 days ago
    1. Enrique certainly will. Rafael should too. So then we have Carlito... i have him as Captain as present so i'm hoping he does but with Mancini around who knows!

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
      1. thats my issue too, really hoping that he does. think i'll roll the dice and give him the armband

        • 2 years, 2 days ago
  10. Jose Enrique fit ??

    • 2 years, 2 days ago
    1. Hope so as I'm playing him.

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
      1. What about his child ?? Born?

        • 2 years, 2 days ago
        1. Good Lord! No idea. They should be banned in season!

          • 2 years, 2 days ago
    2. last week i read that he'd be ready by now but not heard anything since

      • 2 years, 2 days ago
    • 2 years, 2 days ago
  11. Bego
    Cuellar Ridgewell Bassong
    Michu Silva(c) Puncheon Mata Cazorla
    RVP BA

    Subs: Nelsen, Cameron Di Santo

    1 FT and 3.3m.

    • 2 years, 2 days ago
  12. Podcast on a Wednesday? Is this some sort of early Christmas present? My 'what day is it?' Christmas confusion begins...

    • 2 years, 2 days ago
  13. Ive already used my free trnasfer so do you think its worth it to replace Defoe with Tevez and Nolan with a budget mid (who I wont play) for -8?

    Cheers

    • 2 years, 12 hours ago
  14. Note to the podcasters: If you're going with the "TH" in Cazorla, you can't ignore the "R" and pronounce it semi-correctly - CathoHla. And it's not DZeko. It's Džeko. DJeko.

If you're going fancy, go all the way and pronouce every letter the right way.

I won't torture you to go with GorkŠs = GorkSHs, but ... just sayin'.
