Possibly the most un-Christmas-like Christmas Podcast we’ve ever recorded, thanks mainly to Granville being banned from editing in the entire MP3 of Dean Martin’s “Let it Snow” but also because neither of us had time to sort our pressies. To be fair, I’m surprised that Granville felt an ounce Christmas spirit after Santi’s showing at Reading opened up a 40-point “chasm” in our min-league. Do I have it all wrapped up already?
To his credit, my co-host takes it all on his bearded chin, joining me to discuss the Felliani fallout, its impact on the transfer trends in “all aboard”, a preview of the weekend fixtures and provided his assistance in the management of the ScoutCast team: an outfit which plundered no less than 80 points thanks to Santi’s haul and Reading’s bulging net.

Chelsea/City/Villa/Arsenal would be after GW27, so we could have 2 big DGW’s instead of just the one.

Its just an automatic cup for FPL in general, it operates at the same time. Its a knockout competition based on whoever gets the highest points in the head to head. Most will be knocked out of the competition within a couple of game weeks (obviously)

Yes and i makes sense because we want to get 11 decent players on the field. DGW’s do have the problem of wasted transfers where you get players in then have to sell them again. This often involves hits which negate any extra points acquired in the DGW.

Liverpool at home and they won the Anfield fixture handsomely. Stoke tricky but good if you have a gunners defender and Sunderland not hard these days.
Arsenal have City in week 22. Not really after too many gunners in my squad for that.

, Im planning to have 1 arsenal player for the City game and than take a hit to get 2 in for the double and clean it up with a WC. I can see having a defender for that game but double attack would be serious overkill IMO

If you want points, Caz is your man and on form, however he is known to go through a quiet period now and then. If your extra funds with Walcott enabled you to bring in a big player like bale, tevez, mata fro e.g, then go with Walcott, otherwise stick with Caz.
