We’re down to the last four now in the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII now. The next round will take place over Gameweek 22 and will see David Bevan’s “ange1range1” take on Sir Alex Jnr’s “Milehigh” – the former is the clear underdog going into this one; although he’s nestled inside the top 7,000, David’s opponent has moved ominously into 34th place overall after yesterday’s seven fixtures.

Site regular “WildRover” is the early favourite heading into the second semi-final. He has moved up to 439th in the overall rankings ahead of tonight’s three remaining Gameweek 21 fixtures, while his opponent, Mr KK, is just inside the 30,000 mark. With winter wildcards available, however, the form book could easily be turned on its head as our quartet plot for silverware…

      I decided to: firstly, to sort out my defence; secondly, as I won't be able to afford the defence I want in a few weeks; and thirdly, as I only want Theo, Caz and O'Brian for the DGW. I guess your approach to the DGW determines the question.

      Personally with Ruiz back playing and Duff coming back going for Berbatov ahead of Ba. Nice rotation options in defense, would like another defender from one of the big team but I guess budgets a bit stretched for that.

    I made enquiries about this yesterday but didn't really get a response. Which on eof these looks the best, bearing in mind my front 2 is Suarez and RVP:

    a) Luiz & C.Cole;
    b) Davies & Dzeko
    c) Dawson & Hernandez

    Alternatively, I could do (d) Ba, but this would mean having Shorey & Harte instead of Cuellar and Luiz.

    The problem with loading up on arsenal/west ham striker/mids is that u will have to lose one or two of the other mids and consequently lose value on them.(mata,bale,michu,fellaini,ba e.g)

    Apart from walcott, im not even considering having any ars/wh mid in my week 23 WC team.
    Having DGW coverage is going to be tricky this time around

    Tevez is the main problem, but i also have just one DGWer and no Suarez/Fellaini (if that matters). I plan to use the WC gw24. I was thinking Johnson/Rafa, Tevez ➡ O'brien, Suarez. Any thoughts!?

    How nailed on are Tomkins and Demel in the WH defence?

    Have only 4.3 Millions for a defender so O'Brien is off-limits for now.

      Could you put Harte in somewhere else to make funds available. Harte has a few decent home games over the next couple of months or so and is an easy bench option.
