  1. podo to cisse
    or
    carz to mata
already have walcott gibbs demel jcole
it will be for a hit

    1. i think u mean the other way round

  2. felt good taking out suarez as a united fan and him getting 2pts :)

    1. I thoroughly enjoyed this myself :D . Though I brought Ba in for him, which could have gone better!

      1. It will against Southampton when he gets a brace.

        1. Ba was 2m cheaper though which allowed us to upgrade elsewhere

          1. Whats your transfer plans for this week mate?

            1. see below dago.

      2. Have done the same, was riskier as it was a hit. Glad my gamble paid off on the Suarez side, just hoping Ba delivers in the second game. If he plays at all.

  3. Arsenal fan in peace, finally got a chance to get another look at the Kompany red card. (Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRfo-tNaBkc&t=2m12s).

The law concerned is Law 12 (Fouls & Misconduct) (http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/afdeveloping/refereeing/law_12_fouls_misconduct_en_47379.pdf) which states that players should be sent off for "serious foul play", which is defined as:
"A player is guilty of serious foul play if he uses excessive force or brutality against an opponent when challenging for the ball when it is in play."

The guidance adds that " 'using excessive force' means that the player has far exceeded the necessary use of force and is in danger of injuring his opponent." Note that it's the potential for injury that is considered, not actual injury.

It also adds that "Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one of both leg, with excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play".

My take on it is that as far as the laws are concerned, this is a straightforwardly correct application of Rule 12 by the referee. Both of Kompany's legs leaving the ground leaves the referee with little choice but to deem it a lunge. Hence the FA is unlikely to undermine him, hence it is unlikely to be overturned.

From a moral point of view, I think Kompany went only for the ball and there was no intent to injure. Credit also to Wilshere for asking the referee not to send Kompany off immediately after the tackle - having made a few tackles like that himself, I think he understood!

    1. *using one of both leg = *using one or both legs

    2. I thought Wilshere thought the ref was going to punish him. Its not far off a 50/50 really.

One of those ones where the ref is right but the rules are wrong.

  4. Current Squad.

    Jaaskelainen
    Cameron - Azpilicueta - Evra
    Maloney - Walcott - Routledge - Mata
Suarez - Ba - Van Persie

    Subs: Begovic Nelsen Clyne Puncheon

Did Hazard > Walcott last night before price rise for free.

Currently have Winter Wildcard & 3.2m in the bank. Thinking of WCing.

    Jaaskelainen > Bunn
    Nelsen > Demel
    Azpilicueta > Gibbs
    Maloney > Fellaini
    Routledge > Michu
    Ba > Lukaku

    With 0.7 left.

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

    1. you should of wildcarded last week. Id be tempted to get a couple of DGW for this week, then use it later.

  5. anyone thinking of ditching ba?

too much money and frustration on the bench depending on rafa rotation?

i am thinking of giroud for the dgw

    currently 2046th

    my fornt 8 will be

    mata/ bale/walcott/fellanini/michu

    rvp/sturridge/giroud

    any thoughts?

    1. I'd go for Podolski over Giroud.

  6. Potential WC team
    Szczesny / Mignolet
    Sagna / Davies / Wilson / Clyne / Demel
    Mata / Fellaini / Walcott / Puncheon / Bale
Sturridge / Aguero / Van Persie

Differences in starting XI this week would be Aguero, Sturridge, Chezney and Davies instead of Benteke, Berba, Luiz and Sterling.

Worth playing it or should I hold tight? Got 2 frees so could get some of that lot in anyway.

  7. Fuml - happy with how your wildcard played???

you taking out BA this week? if so for who?

    im thinking podolski/ageuro

    1. keep Ba. I reckon you should save it.

      1. hmm its a tough one dago. most my rivals will take him out for the likes of sturridge/suarez/ageuro/podolski.

im 35 ahead of guy in 2nd so will see. whats your plans??

  8. Morning! As I slept over the deadline and missed my WC, I guess I'm one of few on here with the WC still available. Considering Arsenal+Hammers has a DGW, I figured it wasn't a big blooper after all. BEFORE i read Arsenal's game might be PP?!

  9. Back to RVP captain, who's with me.

  10. GUys, could use a little help. Unsure whether to wildcard this team, take a 4pt hit or neither.

    Current team is:

    Jaaskelainen Begovic
    Luiz Shawcross Demel Davies McAuley
    Mata Bale Pienaar Michu Sterling
    Suarez RVP Lambert
    £1.0 m in the bank

    A) Bale/Mata -> Walcott
    B) Bale/Mata -> Walcott + Pienaar -> Fellaini (-4)
    C) w/card

  11. Lamps + Lambert to Gerrard + Podolski for a -4 sound?

Have Mata, Walcott and no Suarez

    1. Or should I look at Fellaini instead of Stevie?

      1. I like Gerrard however not too sure on Podolski

      2. I'd be tempted go have Fellaini for about 3 weeks. Then upgrade to Gerrard when the fixture ease up. Although I see your temptation for this week with NOR playing lfc.

  12. Is Berbatov to either of the below worth a hit?

    A. Lukaku
    B. Dzeko
    C. Sturridge

    Will WC week later, cheers.

  13. Who else has luaku in?

  14. Keep suarez for Norwich surely?

    1. XP
      • Reputation Level: Scout

      he likes scoring against Norwich

  15. Current team:
    Mignolet (Jaaskelainen)
    Azpilicueta Gibbs Demel (Davies) (Cameron)
    Walcott Michu Mata Fellaini (Noble)
    RVP Ba Cisse

    Wildcard played last week.
1 Free Transfer for this coming week.

What should I do? I was a bit disappointed with Cisse at the weekend but as Newcastle's only frontman at the moment I'm pretty sure he'll score against Reading this coming GW.

    1. Put Zabaleta in for Azpilicueta.
