Everton’s home clash with Newcastle this evening draws the line under another Gameweek. Roberto Martinez’ men look to extend the last unbeaten record in the Premier League and clinch a victory that would take them into fourth spot, while the Magpies are desperate to bounce back from last weekend’s home defeat at the hands of Hull:

The team news is in and is as follows…

Roberto Martinez hands James McCarthy and Romelu Lukaku their first starts since joining up on Merseyside on transfer deadline day. Steven Naismith and Nikica Jelavic are the men to make way – McCarthy will slot in alongside Gareth Barry and Ross Barkley in the central midfield three, while Leon Osman – who has recovered from a groin problem – is expected to move to the flank.

For the visitors, Alan Pardew makes a couple of alterations from the side that lost to the Tigers, Yohan Cabaye is on the bench after sustaining a groin problem last time out, while Papiss Cisse makes way for Yoan Gouffran up top.

    Anyone with a clear head?

    Giroud Rooney Suarez

    1 FT remaining.

    Save FT for next week and reanalyse and do Giroud or Rooney --> Lukaku (Bar any injuries or hints of rotation from the managers).

    And also use 2nd FT to upgrade someone if necessary?

    I know it'll cost me 0.3m to wait though.

    B. Coleman > Agger (own Migs)
    C. Giroud > Lukaku (own Ozil & Ramsey)
    D, None of the above

    I believe Everton are weak picks for clean sheets. I am not sure Coleman is worth the funds for his attacking threat. (Already own Vidic)

    trying to take a positive spin on mirallas, he's now assisted in both games lukaku played. it's just so hard to get away from lukaku being the same price pretty much

    What a disaster... Baines (C) and Coleman just a point between them. The season is getting worse by the minute.

    A trend is appearing, my team is performing consistently worse than RMT suggests, although this trend seems to be inverted for any benched players. Should I ignore the stats and revert back to the good ol' gut feeling method?

    right opinions are needed i have 2 ft's and i want to use at least one!

    its down to

    Sturridge + giroud ( i only have ramsey for arse coverage then) > Lukaku + Suarez (sideways i know but he is the better lpool striker)

    or

    HBA > Barkley (the safer option but decent everton coverage anyways)

    wouldnt mind getting this sorted before suarez and lukaku rises tonight

    I'm no elite player or hardcore statistician; but my advice is...save your FT this week if you can(only use it if you can't field 11). If you save it, you will have 2FT over the international break. This is a time where we can see injuries to anyone(especially Sturridge) and maybe Benteke and Walcott could return. Play it safe brehdrin
