Top 10k is always the target really. That usually ensures I win my main ML.

Yeah, top 10k is about as realistic a target as can be set. My main goal is always to win my main 1 or 2 MLs, especially the ones that have cash on the line. To be zen about it, setting a specific finishing position is somewhat arbitrary, a better goal might be to always make well considered decisions based on solid information, or some other 'process' related goal. The results follow from consistently making good decisions.

Dear Michael,
Saturday's 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur was hugely important to the players, staff and fans. To make it three wins on the trot and play as well as we did against our great rivals sent everyone home happy.
We should have converted a lot more than we did on Saturday but I'm not complaining about a 2-0 win! We were hitting the target, though, and we were making their goalkeeper make very, very good saves.
Now we are mathematically safe, we've got to go out and find better players to improve the squad. As much good as the players have done since I have been here - and I'm not criticising any of them whatsoever as they've given all that they've got - our job is always to improve the squad as you can't stand still in this league.
Players that can handle the ball and more importantly deliver in the final third are vital. Our 14 clean sheets this season is the best I've ever had and that was a massive goal that we've achieved.
If we can add a bit more flair and finishing power then we should be looking to finish in the top ten or better next season. We've got to entertain the fans and play the right kind of football.
We can now look forward to a really good performance at Manchester City, but at the same time knowing that when we get back next season we will be in the Barclays Premier League and we'll try to do better than we did this.

I don't think it's the number of risks you take, it's whether the risks you do take are good ones, and avoiding the bad ones - but it is not always easy to judge which risks are good and which are bad, so good judgement is important.
And the same goes for hits - it used to be the conventional wisdom that hits were usually bad, but The Silva Surfers have shown that that is not necessarily always true - it is only the wrong kind of hits that are bad.
Every decision we take involves some risk in my opinion (even 'playing safe' is a sort of risk, as it could be a missed opportunity), and sometimes it is better to choose options with big up-sides rather than to always choose the one with the smallest down-side.
Avoiding bad risks can take you a long way, but to get to number one probably also requires some added good judgement, luck and inspiration. Do you agree?Open Controls
