My last article on Gameweek 3 punts was fairly successful with two of my picks, Daryl Janmaat and Mauro Zarate, registering attacking points. Janmaat came away with a goal and two Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus points and Zarate notched an assist. Sergio Aguero was my only let down as Manchester City slumped to defeat against Stoke and failed to score. For this Gameweek I will be focusing on midfield punts.
Kevin Mirallas
Everton – 7.4m – 4.2% ownership
Mirallas comes away from Gameweek 3 with a goal and seven points. He recorded an astounding six goal attempts, the second highest number of the week, and all this was against the Chelsea defence who are well known for their defensive solidity. He also has a number of other impressive stats from Gameweek 3 which membes can check out here.
This week, the Belgian comes up against a West Brom side who have shipped five goals already this season, and with Everton having scored the second highest number of Premier League goals so far this season, I can’t see the Toffees coming away from this game goalless.
Everton have scored at least two goals a game so far this season, and I expect them to continue this goalscoring form against West Brom. The threat of rotation always hangs over Mirallas but I think he looks too good a prospect to be left out this week.
Wilfred Zaha
Crystal Palace – 5.4m – 0.9% Ownership
The Manchester United loanee had a fantastic 20 minutes against Newcastle on his first game back for Palace. He ripped the Newcastle United defence apart in the little time he had on the pitch and was very unlucky to come away with only a single goal. His stats from the game were absolutely brilliant and by far were the best attacking stats of the Gameweek. He was also playing out of position up front, when he came on for striker Dwight Gayle in the 70th minute.
Crystal Palace are no longer the side they were in 13/14, registering no clean sheets in their first three games of the season. Although, they have racked up five goals so far and are level with Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City in terms of goals scored.
Zaha has a very favourable fixture this week, playing at home to a newly promoted side in Burnley. With the way he ran riot against Newcastle, I expect him to do the same against Burnley this week.
He also has a very nice run of fixtures with BUR,LEI,hul and WBA in the next six matches.
Nacer Chadli
Tottenham – 6.1m – 4.2% Ownership
The second Belgian on the list, the Spurs man has already registered two goals and two FPL Bonus Points so far this season. Tottenham looked dire against a strong Liverpool side in Gameweek 3, losing 3-0, but will be looking to revive their earlier form that saw them score five goals in the first two games. Many are overlooking Spurs’ midfield options after their 3-0 loss, but with a decent run of fixtures in the short term, they could be set to go back to their earlier free scoring form and punish their sellers.
Chadli will play Sunderland in Gameweek 4 and will be looking to add to his season tally of two goals. He also looks like the best pick of the Spurs midfield, position wise, with him being usually the furthest forward and occasionally ahead of striker Emmanuel Adebayor. With these factors in mind, I believe the Belgian could be the Spurs man to shine this weekend, coming away from Gameweek 4 with a strong points haul.

Another great trio...I'm so tempted by Mirallas this week - but he goes against every dullard bone in my body.
