The ScoutCast – Episode 137 – Precious

Every little point counts. With the mini-league gap between myself and co-host Granville widening by the week, my Mancunian friend can ill-afford to throw points aside in his bid to follow up last season’s victorious campaign.

In and around the usual ScoutCast regulars, Granville recalls the dilemma that saw him get away with benching Cesc Fabregas to the tune of just a single point. Will that prove costly?

We then join forces to run the rule over the accelerating Di Maria bandwagon, assess Rooney’s re-positioning and decide whether those steering away from Ramsey Street need to re-programme their sat navs.

Treasure this nonsense via this link or cling to these worldly goods via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Would you swap Duff + Hutton -> Chambers + Moore?

Already have Baines, Ivan & Clyne

with that DEF you should play Baines, Ivan and Clyne every week anyway so just make sure to have 2 other nailed on DEF, and Duff and Hutton are perfect for that imo

I agree with your opinion about Duff & Hutton was just wondering if it was an upgrade (to cover injuries mostly) to go with Chambers & Moore

    Hello all

    Clyne, Duff and Di Maria
    OR
    Ivanovic, Baines and Downing

Already have Forster from Southampton and am looking at these as LT moves
    Cheers

So you dont rate having Ivanovic then?
On performances so far he's more dangerous in attack than similar priced midfielders
And he has villa at home this week

They both hit horrible fixtures at exactly the same time. Doesn't seem logical.

It depends on the way you like to do things but it's either Forster and a 4.0 or Forster and Heaton, imo.

Begovic/Fabianski, imo. Too expensive for you, I know.

      Begovic/Heaton may work as well.

Forster/Heaton imo, but I don't like having 2 playing gks (selection headaches). So Forster/4.0 should do it.

I think he'll start. He looked excellent for us vs Arsenal. He may not play 90 yet though because he's lacked training in the last few weeks. May be only 70 minutes. Still think that's plenty of time to do something vs QPR.

Always loved the m_nus nights at the Watergate!

Tresor was fine too. Berghain et al.
Did change quite a bit during the last years though - not to the better though.

Have a good GW, sir! 😀

I'm on a wc.... and I've been changing my team about so much to try fit aguero in (which is very hard!)
but dyu really think he is worth 12 mill? i saw someone say that he only played 5 90 min games last year. theres no doubt about it that when he's on form he's the best in the league. but with him vein so injury prone is it too much of a risk especially with that price tag?

is it silly for me to think ulloa has as much chance to match his score in the next 3 or 4 gw's?

I don't know about matching him but I think Aguero needs to get some bigger hauls to justify the price. Could happen any time so I wouldn't get rid if I had him.

yea i agree. thats why its hard to justify getting him in my wc team this week.

the thing is with Aguero that he only needs 60 minutes to outscore almost anyone playing 90. And if he gets injured it is easier to swap him and downgrade to someone else because of that lofty pricetag. Looking at long-term I think he is defo worth it, together with DC of course

Play Boyd or zaha this weekend?

Zaha will probably not start so Boyd then, but would not like my midfield if I had both Boyd and Zaha. I guess you have Costa, Kun and Rooney or a heavy DEF?

So, if anyone thinks Arsenal has a defensive crisis, what about Manchester United?

Out of the five players who have played at CB so far for United, all three of the senior CBs (Smalling, Evans, Jones) are injured, Blackett is suspended, and Keane has been sent out on loan.

Apart from Rojo, who I hear can play at LCB, there is nobody that comes to my mind who can do CB duties.

Punt of the week: Enner Valencia or Diafra Sakho. 😉

Having been trying to talk myself out of doing Siggy > Downing, I've just caved and made the switch. Think West Ham will get something from the game for sure.

I'm not sure they will get a point or three, but I'm confident about them banging some in.

Downing and Valencia. Top notch options this week. Downing's featured in my Punts article that I think should be up shortly 🙂

2 seasons ago United would have beaten West Ham at home, this year I'd say they will win, unless they lose or draw.
