FFS Paddy Power Cup X – Second Round Draw

This afternoon, we roll out the second round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and cast our eye over the dramatic events of the first round.

Among the heroes of the first round were Ralphypne. His tally of 64 was the highest score of the round and earns him £25 worth of free bets with Paddy Power, thanks to Alan Hutton’s goal scoring prowess and his decision to captain Charlie Austin. He now faces up to 03protermic in the second round.

Other notable victors were Weston Wasters and Confundido, who respectively dispatched previous winners MCH and myself. Just one former winner remains, with GoonerDave left to carry the flag in round two, against community regular Aaron Ramessi.

In another key match up between regular community members Daniel emerged victorious in his clash with SuperDunny and will square up to BuddArmy in the second round.

Mark and Granville’s Scoutcast team also lost out, beaten by Clueless XI and his selection of Graziano Pelle as captain. Granville, however, marches on after beating Juramentardo and takes on Senile Delimquent in the second round.

The second round will also see a number of community regulars battle it out with Gnu taking on Arvin-ation, our moderator Greenwindmill facing TommyJ and Sporting against Bouncebackability.

Luke Keenan has one of the toughest second round matches,  drawing one of  the competition’s highest ranked managers Randymilla, who is 35th overall. A staggering 639,140 places separate this pair. Jimmy the Gent, who has a rank of 2,970, also has a tough draw, as he squares up to our highest ranked remaining competitor 29th placed Jonny.

The full list of first round results can be found here, while the second round draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to those involved in the weekend’s action. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

In the FFS cup, if scores are level is it overall rank that decides who goes through?
