What are your thoughts on Ings ? Is he more of the Ulloa / early Bojan type ? Or sustainable like Austin/Sakho ?
- Seems nailed on, has very high involvement in every Burnley attack and team is not half bad at home.
- Is in good form, and hitting the target consistently.
- Rotates with Austin too, so can go 3-5-2 and play one of them every week.
So : Boyd + Lukaku -> Yaya + Ings (-4) ?looks good

Because defenders bagging in monsterscores in not highly likely, while an in form forward with an easy game could pretty much bag a brace.

I would have suggested a Chelsea defender as a possible move, but you can't afford that unless you want to shift Baines. I'd probably save.
Keep lukaku and if u already have austin no need to bring ings in.i have ings and i bench him if go 352 (burnley away) and play him for 343(burnley home).

This is my prediction for how gametime is going to go down between Zabaleta and Sagna until GW24ish. Zabaleta should play 7 of 9 league fixtures until mid-Feb, with Sagna playing vs BUR and the cup games (5 games total), as well as HUL though that is after the WC.
This 7:5 ratio is roughly in line with what has happened so far: Zabaleta has played 16 games, Sagna 9 games, across all competitions.

If this is indeed what happens, then Zabaleta is a great pick imo. One missed fixture (ie. BUR) wouldn't be terrible if you can get Hutton(SUN)or someone else to cover GW19 in particular.
Note that on only two occasions did either come on as a sub: Sagna when Zabaleta was sent off vs Chelsea, and Zabaleta came on for 20mins vs Bayern in a must-win game for City. Normally that never happens otherwise.

I think you're spot on, although I would love for him to play against Burnley. Don't see it happening unfortunately.just get a decent covering def and hope for the best.

Sagna started twice in the CL games and also played the only League Cup game vs Newcastle, so it would make sense.

yes, i think 0.5 is justified for the combination of attacking threat along with the fact that demi is bench fodder once kompany is back, which could happen by gw20 or sooner. Gotta think medium-to-long-term with defs

Why don't you think they'll share game time in PL fixtures in the same 2:1 ratio that they've done up till now?
All the rotation has been very logical and for good reason.
- Zabaleta didn't play much early on as he was returning from WC. Many players got extra time off by Pellegrini.
- Zaba was rested vs Spurs as it was the first game after an international break where Zaba had been to South America.
- QPR(A) was directly after MUN(H) and CSKA(H), both of which Zaba played.
- LEI(A) was right after EVE(H) and Roma(A) and before a busy fixture schedule.
Pellegrini's a very logical, and so am I. That's my best guess based on previous patterns and what "makes sense"
Still, Zaba is 6.4m wheras Demichelis is 5.9m and will probably start all the next 4 games. Is he a better short term option do you think?
I would gladly pay an extra 0.5 for the joy of watching Zabaleta participate in every City attack. All it takes for him to clean up baps is 1 assist...
