The Weekend Team News

Jack Wilshere is sidelined for the Gunners after undergoing minor ankle surgery. Carlton Cole is out of the Hammers’ home clash with Crystal Palace, who are without a trio of forwards through injury. Daryl Janmaat has been passed fit for Newcastle. Toby Alderweireld remains unavailable with a hamstring problem, Alan Hutton and Aly Cissokho are doubts for Villa, whilst West Brom are sweating over the fitness of Saido Berahino and James Morrison.

In his Friday morning press conference, Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere will be sidelined for a few days after undergoing minor ankle surgery. Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini will return to training tomorrow but Sunday’s clash with Everton will come too soon for the duo. Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Debuchy are still “a few weeks away” from returning.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Carlton Cole is out of the weekend meeting with Palace, after the forward limped out of the Spurs clash with a hamstring injury. Allardyce has also confirmed that new signing Nene is likely to be amongst the substitutes this weekend.

Crystal Palace face a striker shortage ahead of their meeting with the Hammers, after Alan Pardew confirmed that Frazier Campbell, Marouane Chamakh and Yaya Sanogo will all miss out with injury. In more positive news, midfielder James McArthur has been passed fit after missing last week with a thigh problem.

Newcastle boss John Carver will have Daryl Janmaat available for the visit of Aston Villa, after the right-back was passed fit having overcome a groin problem. Meanwhile, Remy Cabella remains sidelined with a knee injury. Midfielder Cheick Tiote has also been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

Toby Alderweireld remains sidelined for the trip to the Hawthorns, confirms Ronald Koeman, who believes the Belgian could return to action against Palace in midweek. Aside from Jay Rodriguez and Emmanuel Mayuka, Koeman has no other absentees for the Baggies clash.

West Brom are sweating over the fitness of James Morrison against the Saints, with the midfielder picking up a hamstring niggle during the week. Saido Berahino is also a concern and will be closely monitored after suffering a knock in the stalemate with Sunderland last week. Tony Pulis also suggests that Victor Anichebe could possibly return from a groin injury this week after rejoining training.

Tim Sherwood faces a full-back crisis ahead of the trip to St James’s Park after confirming that Alan Hutton and Aly Cissokho are both doubtful to face the Magpies, with Hutton rated as “touch and go”. Kieran Richardson has also been ruled out through injury, while Swiss defender Philippe Senderos is also unlikely to feature.

Black Cats boss Gus Poyet will again be without Jack Rodwell and Billy Jones through injury, with neither being risked for the weekend. The pair however, could be fit to return for the Hull game in midweek.

Is it worth selling Austin (he's the same price I bought him at) for a week or so?

If so, who to? (I also have Aguero and Kane...)
