    Looks as if a lot of people with a generally lower rank prior to today took a massive leap up the board - considering some of the leaps one can only presume a lot of the top 100K had an absolute shocker?!

    This is probably not the most popular subject right now, but has anyone thought of bringing Janmaat in?

    I know it sounds ludicrous after allowing 6 goals against City. But but but... they were supposed to lose that game and Kun, who has been very unlucky so far hit everything just right this time.

    Newcastle has been bad this year, but not as terrible as people may think. They've had one game they should've won this year (Watford at home), but other than that, they've had a hellish schedule:
    mcy, CHE, ARS, whu, swa, mun, SOU

    The expected value for clean sheets in these games is close to 0 (they got one by drawing ManU away).

    They now play NOR, sun, STO, bou, LEI, cpa. That's several possible cleanies there.

      Possible but very unlikely - consider their defence is mainly the same as got Carver sacked end of last season in that dreadful spiral into near relegation.

    Ranieri made two changes to his starting line up, bringing in Christian Fuchs and Danny Simpson for Ritchie De Laet and Riyad Mahrez – a decision that seemed to work.

    He explained: “I wanted to change something after Arsenal. Christian Fuchs and Danny Simpson played very well. I put Mahrez on the bench because I knew they were pushing during the match on the flank with the full backs and the wingers, left and right.

    “I thought I’d use Riyad in the second half to try to win the match if it was possible or if we were drawing. The match was different though and that was good.”

    Seems like Ranieri was worried about Robbie Brady raiding down the left and leaving the full-back exposed in a 2 vs 1. A little strange to drop a player in such form rather than change his position the the left, against a more conservative Steven Whittaker but this is the tinkerman, who know what goes on in that brain.

    Mahrez's next game? Against Southampton and Ryan Bertrand...

      Contrary to the opinion on here he was starting to look tired in the past couple of games. Yeah scored a peno but gave the ball away endlessly in each game. Good decision by ranieri and its paid off
