    Okay, it's happening.

    I've thought long and hard this evening but, while I'd love to stick to my guns, I need to keep some sanity. I can't risk the season capitulating and, without Aguero, that's always a possibility.

    I've always gone for the big gun captaincy option. I tried something new but with City's defence so poor, god knows how many goals Aguero is going to have to get to keep them in the race.

    One thing I've learnt back when Ramsey and Toure were ripping things up and I stubbornly resisted, you've got to admit an error and change your mind.

        Lol...well I didn't really need Jonty or anyone pointing out that he was the best striker in the league. I just wanted to believe there was another way because the path to Aguero looked so bloody drab.

        However, Jonty and the guys were right, not having his points feels awful - it's not something I'm used to. I've always had RvP's points back in the day and I've always lept straight on Aguero. This time it just felt he meant completing gutting my squad and I desperately wanted to resist it.

        KDB's showing today helped to be honest. The way i see it, given the value in midfield being offered by Ali and Mahrez (given I paid 5.5 for him), his away form made him a more obvious makeweight.

        I might regret that, but probably not half as much as I would have regretted continuing without Aguero.

        I could inflict another Saturday night on my family like this one 😉

          😀 It's good to see you come round to it. There's always value floating around the 4th mid spot if you look back at Ramsey, Lallana, Siggy or Downing and now with Mahrez and Alli this year, I think its getting these right as much as getting the power strikers that helps you climb through the ranks.

          Good luck navigating the cup games with 0FTs by the way, I'm off to think about a different question for the scoutcast now you've come round 😀

      Done. I had to lose KDB but given Ali's value, I think I also had to make that move, too. I kept some cash and quality at the back and still have a semblance of flexibility and a decent bench.

      A big shame but just couldn't risk it all going to pot. I have to think Fantasy Football every day and, quite frankly, this evening, that's been a bit painful 😉

      think we all know the deal/argument. 13mil is a lot of money so the Aguero debate is almost not even about Aguero himself or the other strikers you could have instead. It's about what you can do with all the money saved. De bruyne has a lot of away games right now, Alexis is still to return, hazard is hungover, Sturridge is AWOL, Rooney is leggy, the most expensive defenders like Smalling, Terry, ivanovic, otamendi etc aren't performing. The the money saved is not making gains elsewhere.
      I also have no Aguero and think this is the turning point. Rather than thinking I have no problems with Ighalo, lukaku and Kane to justify selling either I'm simply thinking the money saved is doing nothing so who would I rather have, Aguero or Kane? Kane has scored 12 in 14, its nuts to even think about it but if you have a choice between Aguero and Kane surely Aguero wins. Same applies to lukaku, then it gets trickier with Vardy and Ighalo as they are so obscenely cheap.

        should say on top of the expensive guys not doing anything there are so many cheapies to pick that the 100mil budget is stretching a lot further than normal. wondering if Mahrez Ighalo and Vardy are the 3 best value players ever. soind soind OTT but who else was there, Adam never made 200 points

      nothing wrong in admiting defeat over a certain player, last couple seasons people missed out on the likes of suarez, ramsey etc, this season, vardy , mahrez, igahlo, etc, mostof us guilty and stubborn on missing out on these players, but at the end of the day, it is fantasy football ! good luck

    Follow up to earlier post....

    Decided to have both and toasted Teacake was the hands down winner over Crumpets.. I suspect Crumpets may fare better at breakfast though

    The secret to both though is REAL butter 🙂

        Yep but not spreadable from the fridge so only used for special occasions in advance. Usually use Anchor spreadable 🙂

          Spreadable is a sin to butter.

          You need some high quality real slab of butter in a bit of delph that sits out.

    keeps on trickling point to my rivals in my ML. The past three weeks my 90 pt lead has been cut to 44. Seriously think I need to use my WC this week.

        I've had him from 5.0 now he's 5.7. Isn't Kompany back soon? It's just that I know my team needs a few tweaks but that requires a hit, which I haven't taken since week 8. I refuse to take one now, so the WC is my only option. With news probably coming in this week about blanks/dgw's, I think the WC should be activated now. Only 15 weeks left

          Zabaleta is a big threat to Sagna's minutes. I think I'd hold off on the WC because there are likely to be much bigger DGWs after the FA Cup weekends.
