Team Ratings – Gameweek 26

Team Ratings is a weekly article analysing the home and away form of Premier League teams. The statistics used to measure this form are taken from the last four home/away games. Fantasy managers can use the data found in the tables, alongside the season ticker, to pick out the teams that face the best fixtures ahead.

The best and worst performing teams in each column of data are coloured green to red. These five tables look in detail at home attack and defence, away attack and defence and finally how they match up in the Gameweek ahead. In the Fixtures table, the ratings on the left are based solely on that team’s home stats and the ratings on the right are based solely on that team’s away stats.

      I've benched Mahrez past 2 weeks, 25k to 100k 🙁

My top tip - stop benching Mahrez. 🙂

    Bench Ighalo or Alli?

Alli has great away stats plus Man City's defence looks shaky. I'd play Alli of those two.

This makes it difficult to bench Ighalo really, but Watford have failed to score in a lot of recent away games.

I'm benching Ighalo. Could backfire, but if you have a strong front 8 then someone has to go!

For some reason this makes me think Villa might sneak a 1-0

Two VP attacks v VP defences. What happens there?

Statistically by the methods, Arsenal might have come out Poor in attack at home as in your chart. But I guess we all expect Arsenal to score vs Leicester.

I do, but I also expect us to score against Arsenal. Probably 2-1 to the Gunners or maybe we might scrape a 1-1 draw.

Yeah, they've been in poor form recently, but I expect that to change.

    Great article by the way.

It would be interesting to know how actual results have compared to the form over the past game weeks. Particularly for clean sheet predictions.

Just a thought Sarjeant, how about making a second table with the last 4 games combined? Take Everton as an example, they've changed personnel and kept 3 consecutive clean sheets (1 against Carlisle 🙂 ) yet they still come out as very poor in your guide. Perhaps a second 'last 4 games' table would be useful to go alongside this one.

It takes me quite a while to do what I do now, but I'll see what I can do.

So do we fancy Watford's OK defence to keep out Palace's very poor attack or Arsenal's very strong defence to keep out Leicester's strong attack the most? Struggling to decide between Koscielny and Nyom this week, and was hoping this article would help out.

    Great as always, Sarj.

I was going to play my AOA chip and play Ake ahead of Bellerin. But I've decided to play three at the back and I'm playing both now.
