The penultimate team in our series of members’ articles, which review the numbers behind the 2015/16 season, are West Brom.
We get our analysis underway by assessing the Baggies team statistics and compare them to the rest of the Premier League and their previous league campaign. We then take a close look at their first-team squad, main goal threats and creative sources with one eye on the season kick-off in just over two weeks’ time.
The Baggies finished in fourteenth position last time out – just six points clear of the drop zone – after a dire run of form saw them draw four and lose five of their final nine league fixtures.
Pulis’ side struggled for a cutting edge and managed to find the net on just 34 occasions – down on their 38 goals from 2014/15 and a tally superior only to basement-dwellers Villa.
7 years, 9 months agoI remember seeing someone had done a really nice spreadsheet showing all the fixtures by week, colour-coded for easiness of the game - but I can't find the link. Could anyone point me to it please?
