Dugout Discussion

The Dugout Discussion – Burnley vs Watford

Burnley and Watford go head-to-head at Turf Moor this evening in the final fixture of Gameweek 6.

For many Fantasy managers, this match will be the first time Etienne Capoue has been afforded a place in their starting XIs after netting four times in the opening five.

Now up to 5.1 in Fantasy Premier League and sitting in 40% of sides, Capoue heads a host of Hornets options looking to catch the eye as the fixtures turn kind for Walter Mazzarri’s men.

The likes of Roberto Pereyra – with attacking points in all three appearances – Odion Ighalo, Troy Deeney and Jose Holebas will also be closely monitored as the fixtures now fall in Watford’s favour.

The hosts are without the suspended Andre Gray for the next four, with Sean Dyche relying on Steven Defour and Sam Vokes – the only other Burnley players to score this season – to breach Mazzarri’s rearguard.

Tom Heaton has earned at least one save point in four of his first five and looks set to be kept busy as the visitors attempt to build on the back of successive wins over West Ham and Man United.

    Totally had it with Capoue.

I thought he was on course for a 30 goal season?

    What happened?

For just 4.5m, i'd be happy with a goal every 5 or 6 games.

My thoughts, also. And it's been 1 x game with a tasty looking home fixture coming up. ~30 x goals would be a tad optimistic..

I asked the FPL fairy for a Capoue blank and a Heaton cleanie.

    He duley obliged.

Feel smug about playing Ozil over Capoue, although tbh, it was a toss up last week given each of their forms.

well it is a 4.5m mid, people act like he's Sanchez or something (or even Ramsey/ Delle Alli).

You bench 4.5m mids, that's their sole function in FPL.

    Repost.
Thoughts on Shaw & Stuani to Holebas & Deeney?

Was all set on it. But after tonight's game little confused. Holebas already on 4 YCs. Still worth getting in?

    Appreciate your thoughts!

Yeah. It adds nothing to the game at all. They should ditch it for a new one. Surely there's a think-tank somewhere that can devise an improvement.

AOA seems a pointless exercise, but next week could prove pivotal. Wildcard used and so many defenders in doubt AND a juicy fixture for Capoue (whos sat on my bench every week) - and will on manys next week = differential). Bring it on!!

Playing Capoue over Defoe went well this week. I keep racking up those bench points.

Capoue back on the bench for the foreseeable future...

Me! Well kinda, had him for 3 GWs and played him in all 3, only got 2 pts this week but my benched players (Snoddy, Kone, Amat) only got 2,1 and 0 points respectively, so still made the right choice..

Can't decide on who to get from these?

    A) coutinho 8.2- best value and seems to be getting more chances this season.

    B) sterling 8.5- great way into man city attack but will they slow down now Europe is kicking in and no kdb.

    C) mane 9.0- most expensive but looks due a massive haul.

I usually don't like doubling up on players BUT I am going to get rid of Cazorla for Lamella as I have just bought Sanchez. I am also going to sell Antonio as I am worried he will be played RB again.

I had originally planned on bringing in Son as an on-form differential. I am now debating Sterling or Walcott as their fixtures are so appealing compared to Spurs'. I already have Aguero. Thoughts and opinions on a postcard please.

Is it worth taking -4 hit to swap Cazorla and Hazard for Sanchez & Snoddy? Or status quo then do the swap next week?

What about Walcott for Cazorla this week then Ozil for Hazard the next?

Will have 17.6m to spare for 2 mids. Already have sterling, firmino & Antonio. What are the 2 best mids to bring in?
