Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs Stoke City

Gameweek 18 rolls on this evening as Liverpool welcome Stoke to Anfield in a 5.15pm kick-off.

Owned by over 21% of Fantasy Premier League managers, Sadio Mane’s home form suggests he’s the man most likely to wreak havoc against the Potters – the Senegal international has scored or assisted in six of seven Anfield appearances since arriving from Southampton over the summer.

Divock Origi, with goals in all but one of the last five Gameweeks, retains his starting berth, with Jurgen Klopp set to unleash Daniel Sturridge from the bench once again.

Roberto Firmino also keeps his place as he attempts to end a run of six straight blanks.

For the Potters, Joe Allen is the form player – he’s bagged a goal and assist in the last three Gameweeks as he prepares to face his former club for the first time since moving to the bet365.

Between the posts, Lee Grant has produced at least one save point in each of the last four and should be kept busy again as the hosts look for the win that would see them leapfrog Man City into second.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Unless Pickford is ruled out for weeks, I am sticking with him on w/c. He rotates well with Foster unlike alternatives Grant/Hennessey

Banged his knee and doubtful for next game. No suggestion it is long term though

We must have seen different reports: I'm not aware he has been ruled out of next game yet.

    Foster - Pickford
    Rose - Holebas - Pieters - Jones - Amat
    Mane - Sanchez - Sigurdsson - Pogba - Capoue
    Ibrahimovic - Costa - Origi

    2 FT

    Holebas > Alonso
    Mane > Lallana

This will mean I keep Origi but I can get rid of him next week I suppose?

    Thoughts lads?

Best midfielder for 7.6 or under?

        A) Lallana - good form, poor fixtures
        B) Phillips/Chadli - not great form/stats lately but good fixtures coming
        C) Anyone else to consider?

Dead teams should be disqualified from the cup. Plenty of active players would appreciate being in the competition.

What if a dead team wins the cup? It'll be a complete joke!

A dead team won't win either the FPL Cup or FPL.

What if the so called 'dead' team is an active player who has been happy with their team for a while?

How would it be policed? Would the manager have to call a police station at 7am the day before a cup match

What are we doing with Wally - any news beyond yesterdays tweets?
        Likelihood of playing next game?
(I don't understand the severity of a "slight calf injury")

I reluctantly did Wally-> Lally due to a combination of rises and planning my funds for gw 20 transfers.

I don't like Lally, but that's mostly down to past experiences rather than current form.

If you have exact cash for a move you want to make, I'd make that move. Else you just have to wait for the presser. Wenger's minor/slight/little bit problem issues offer no accurate timeframe of length of absence. Didn't Wally have a little toe problem that kept him out 2-3 weeks?

Cheers. I think my priority should be Pedro to Mkhi and than wait on the Wally situation. In case of a serious problem I'll ship him out and keep Nacho, and in case of Wally being OK I'll ship out Nacho.

I got no problem with holding 1 of Wally or Nacho, but 1 has to go (I'd rather have a healthy Wally and no Nacho).

actually if Wally is defo out I might ship Wally and Nacho and keep Pedro...ffs, this is a hard 1 for me. I still can't make up my mind

So if people really think Pickford is long-term, why not bring in Mannone?
