Hello and a very happy New Year to you all. After a long break filled with festivities, it is time to welcome back the FFS UEFA Champions League community tournment. This week we find out who will face off against each other in the knock out stages of the tournament. The draw can be found here.
This round seems stacked with big names pitted against one another.
In the top half of the draw, Fantasy Football Scout Spencer, who has been in exceptional form during the group stages, faces off against Kinnear, whilst the bright Sunny looks to continue his good run against Jayahar Dutta.
Elsewhere, in the bottom half of the draw, last year’s finalist HvT has a tough draw versus Pongprayoon. He will have his work cut if he wants to better his previous season’s performance. Meanwhile, Minty squares off against Silvinho and Wheato faces Timpgoodwin in what appears to be two tough draws.
The fixtures for the Round of 16 will take place over two legs, as per the usual competition, and will take place on Gameweeks 25 and 27 respectively. The dates for all the fixtures can be found in the ‘Fixture Dates’ tab in the link above. The team with the highest aggregate score after these two games will proceed to the next round. In the event of a tie, the team that has scored the most away goals will progress. If this factor is also tied, then the draw will follow the standard Fantasy Premier League H2H tiebreakers.
