Having checked up on Hull City’s progress under Marco Silva, we now take time to assess Paul Clement’s impact on the fortunes of Swansea City.

Wins against Palace, Liverpool, Southampton and Leicester in six matches since the new manager’s appointment have lifted the Welsh outfit out of the bottom three and brought them to the attention of Fantasy Premier League managers.

Swansea’s upcoming schedule has heightened their appeal as a means to navigate the blanks brought on by domestic cup postponements – indeed, they are one of only eight sides set to offer a fixture in both Gameweek 26 and 28.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Been off this site for a while, what are people doing with Sanchez? Before the break it seemed most were keeping Ibra and selling Sanchez, probably for Hazard but now I'm seeing a lot of people going for Liverpool, what's happened? Theyve been in such bad form

    1. LakhaneeFC
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 9 months ago

Think most of the people were for keeping Sanchez. Even more were wise enough to wait before committing

Mane has good fixtures and more importantly, no blanks now

Haz is quite unpredictable, and has a GW28 blank, which makes a Liv mid the go to guys

      1. Fred54
        • 10 Years
        8 years, 9 months ago

No, even before Mane became available the majority were in favour of keeping Ibra over Sanchez.

Since then the scales have of course tipped massively in favour of selling Sanchez.

You might want to consider getting Pedro then - they do have very good fixtures in and around the blank

I know everyone's going for Mane, but if you can manage Pedro + Lallana - don't think that's a bad plan either

    2. Fred54
      • 10 Years

      Pretty much.

Liverpool were in bad form, but before that in fantastic form, nothing to suggest it hasn't been 'regained'....if that makes any sense at all.

I agree, they dont look the same free scoring side but then maybe they really were missing Mane, tricky decision. Seems that Hazard is the 'safe' option, but not sure i trust Hazard to do well

Keeping Sanchez. Got fairly decent overall value so not bothered about making a tiny bit extra by selling. Had Sanchez all season anyway so got him cheap.

Don't want to waste two precious transfers in him.

What do you consider and why?

Consistency (Costa, sanchez etc) vs bandwagons(lukaku, eriksen, alli, allen etc)
Long term player vs short term player

    1. LakhaneeFC
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 9 months ago

I think it's a mix of the two - some players you just keep in your team throughout (Alexis/Costa) unless there's an injury.
      - Costa
      - Alexis
      - Chel /Tot defence

The bandwagons are highly effective in gaining those extra points and making a difference in your ML, if you catch them correctly. Especially the examples you named above.

There was a time when aguero also used to be in consistent candidates, but sadly pep has ruined him .
I have Alonso,Costa, sanchez, heaton - one player for every position who will be in my team till the end, others will be shuffled around them
I have missed many hauls for I picked the wrong player at wrong time

Combo... A consistent player who can lead the team every week and a charismatic player who can help to improve rank every now and then.

I dont really like consistent players though, boring but ignoring them would be madness, so just set and forget...

      A mixture of both.

Sanchez is a consistent captaincy option.

Bandwagons like Alli (6 goals in 3 games) if missed could hurt your rank.

    4. LakhaneeFC

To add to what I said above, and to give perspective, I missed Alli, Eriksen and Lukaku

I had capoue for the first 3-4 weeks, benched him everytime .
Was stubborn not to replace firmino with Alli after his first brace, missed his points , and since I have brought him in my team he hasn't done anything.i have probably missed the boat .
I had Allen twice on bench when he scored .

    Evening Gents,

I'm already set on doing Amat to Robertson for a FT this week, and want to swap them at their current prices.

However I am going away for couple of days tomorrow and unlikely to be on FFS or Price Change sites until Thursday evening.

    A) Do the transfer now, due to small risk of price falls/rises. Robertson is +60, and Amat -40, moving slowly but could speed up whilst I am away.

    B) Wait until pressers end of week confirming no probs with Robertson, as risk of either rising or falling before then is tiny?

    Cheers

    EVE last 3 homes

BOU: 15 shots, 10 on target, 6 goals
MAC: 6 shots, 4 on target, 4 goals
SOT: 17 shots, 6 on target, 3 goals

32 shots, 20 on target, 13 goals scored

    SUN last 3 aways

    @CPL: 21 shots, 9 on target, 0 goals conceded
    @WBA: 14 shots, 5 on target, 2 goals conceded
    @BUR: 16 shots, 6 on target, 4 goals conceded

51 shots, 20 on target, 6 goals conceded

Slinks slowly off to the offy, hands in cash-filled pockets, head bowed...

        Exactly my thoughts 🙂

Worth noting that for the home games Bournemouth and City played with absurdly high lines and Southampton's was quite normal and then note that Sunderland played deep in all three of those away games... what are Everton like against teams that sit back at home? I mean the only team that I think parked the bus at Goodison this season were Swansea and that ended 1-1 with a late Coleman equaliser... hmmm....

They should start without them. Not Sutton's problem.

Give Sutton a 2 goal head start, it would be an interesting back to the wall night.

Gabriel, Mustafi, Monreal, Elneny, Xhaka, Iwobi, Walcott

Can even class Ospina too as he is the cup keeper

Gabriel is when injuries crop up, otherwise a squad player imo. Had a decent run in recent weeks, but can'y see him as 1st choice when everyone is fit. Elneny as well, only 2 full 90 minute apps in the PL this season, most of them have been 20 minute cameos. Ospina is the cup keeper, pretty well established he's not the 1st choice for the more important league role.

Sanchez should be left out like Ozil and fully rested. With no games to play for over two weeks you think Wenger would let him have a small holiday break.

Has the "template" been smashed up a bit again? Seems a lot of choice all of a sudden now that liverpool's mids are back in consideration... Basically any 7 of these 14 plus Matt Phillips if TV an issue will be a good front 7:

Kane, Costa, Haz, Alexis, Ibra, Lukaku, Mane, Alli, Eriksen, Firmino, Coutinho, Siggy, Lallana, Defoe

If/when TOT & LIV start motoring again, 3-5-2 will be all the rage, again.

Yeah i've been 3-4-3 all season (and all previous seasons 🙂 ) but will be using next few weeks to gear up for a 3-5-2 if liverpool's attack gets going & sanchez keeps firing.
