The Weekend Team News

West Brom have doubts over two goalkeepers as they make their way to Southampton.

Stoke City midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri will be assessed ahead of the home meeting with Bournemouth, Chicharito is expected to be fit to lead the West Ham attack against Brighton, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is available for Crystal Palace’s trip to Newcastle United.

Here’s our summary of the items collated so far in our team news section, plus a preview of what to expect from this afternoon’s press conferences.

Slaven Bilic is hopeful that Chicharito will be fit to face Brighton & Hove Albion, with the forward dealing with some tightness in his hamstring. But Andy Carroll is suspended, while Diafra Sakho is ruled out.

Visiting manager Chris Hughton hopes to have Shane Duffy (groin) available for tonight’s trip to the London Stadium, but Tomer Hemed serves out his three-match suspension, paving the way for Glenn Murray to retain the striker role.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will have to check on David Luiz (calf) and Tiemoue Bakayoko (groin) ahead of the home clash against Watford, with the Blues manager expected to provide an update on their fitness this afternoon. Victor Moses (hamstring) looks likely to miss out again.

Watford head coach Marco Silva will again be without defenders Craig Cathcart, Sebastian Prodl and Younes Kaboul for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will speak to the media this afternoon ahead of the trip to Huddersfield Town, with an update expected on centre-backs Phil Jones and Eric Bailly, who are both dealing with knocks. Bailly is expected to miss out, while Marcus Rashford (hamstring) is also a doubt having picked up a knee problem in Wednsday’s tie.

Meanwhile, Burnley manager Sean Dyche has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Manchester City.

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson will have both Wayne Hennessey and Ruben Loftus-Cheek available for the visit to Newcastle United.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes revealed Joe Allen is in line to be available for the home clash against Bournemouth following a head injury, but defenders Bruno Martins Indi and Tom Edwards are both set to miss out. Xherdan Shaqiri is a doubt due to an ankle sprain, while Hughes will make a late decision on Ryan Shawcross (back).

For the Cherries, Ryan Fraser is rated as “50/50’ for the trip to the bet365 Stadium due to a hamstring injury.

Paul Clement will be without the suspended Leroy Fer for the home meeting with Leicester City, while Wilfried Bony remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. But Renato Sanches is available again following a thigh sprain.

There are no fresh injury concerns for caretaker manager Michael Appleton ahead of the Foxes’ visit to the Liberty Stadium.

Defender Jeremy Pied is the only absentee for Southampton ahead of their Saturday evening showdown against West Bromwich Albion.

Baggies head coach Tony Pulis revealed both Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill trained on Thursday, and hopes one of them will be fit enough to start in goal. But Olivier Burke, James Morrison and Hal Robson-Kanu are set to miss out.

Morgan Schneiderlin will need to be assessed ahead of Sunday’s home meeting with Arsenal, after being forced off with a knock during last night’s 2-1 defeat to Lyon in the UEFA Europa League.

Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez took part in training on Wednesday, and could all be available for the trip to Goodison Park. But Danny Welbeck (hamstring) may miss out.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this tonight’s 7.00pm deadline. Kane doesn't do Wembly for Spurs it seems. And Spurs/Pool matches are usually low scoring affairs.

All the PL teams they've played in Wembley this season have defended deep. Pool wont.

I know but they have played the same way since Klopp arrived. Same results... 0-0 or 1-1.
