FFS Cups – Second and Third Round Draws

Amid a hectic schedule of three Gameweeks within a congested ten-day period, we take time out to reveal who has made it through to the third round of our Fantasy Football Scout Cup and the second round of the Members tournament.

Fantasy Football Scout Cup, Round 3

Two former winners bow out at the second round stage after Wild Rover lost 56-39 to AnytimeScorer and Brucey99 edged past me in a closely fought 44-43 encounter.

This leave a quartet of ex-champions to go into battle once again, with Mark (ranked 37,201) squaring up to Marc Overmata (ranked 120,182), while Gribude (ranked 64,335) has a tough tie against 3,917 placed anthonyheredia.

Sleepysi (ranked 46,917) faces 632,206 placed stephane and Ninja_Fit_Saints (ranked 487,709) encounters FDMS All Starz (ranked 106,873).

Round three’s giant killer to watch out for is Toby Lerone (ranked 76,724), whose Gameweek 17 tally of 33 was enough to see off the second round’s highest placed manager Whats the mata, who plummeted from 82 to 575 in the overall rankings after scoring just 26. Toby takes on the role of Goliath in the next round when he squares up to 262,622 ranked TDJakes.

The highest ranked manager in the competition is now Elvarus, who takes his 154 ranked team into a round three tie with 299,521 placed warsworn.

Members Cup, Round 2

There will be a new name on the Members Cup this time around after previous winner Malaikat jihad was beaten on rank after matching his round one opponent Drieet’s score of 48.

Another high profile manager to fall at the first hurdle is the leader of our FFS Members league Heroes & Villains, who, with a rank of 31, was the tournament’s highest-placed manager. His score of 55 was not enough to overcome 8,085 ranked Fozilla28’s tally of 57.

The round two draw also sees Mark encounter the similarly placed Deanamo Jammy (ranked 32,363), while I take on Gypsum Fantastic (ranked 97,128) and Paul (ranked 476,219) faces 19,188 placed lonecomander

The competition’s new top placed manager tisza (ranked 197) will surely fancy his chances against 728,296 ranked Big Mac 24.

Other notable match ups include a top 10,000 clash between the Scoutcast’s Az and community regular Zoumasbloomers, and former FPL champion Tom Fenley’s tie with Spike.

The full first round results can be found here, while the full second round draw can be found here.

The Guardian's Premier League preview for this weekend suggests that Conte would do well resting Morata some more considering Chelsea are still scoring goals for fun without him and Southampton aren't very good. If the Guardian have thought of that, I imagine Conte has as well. Maybe it's prudent to sell Morata?

I might captain Mahrez instead of Salah.
