Aarons and Payet could both be big gambles depending on how willing you are to use transfers early on
Payet's stats from last season and his price are too good to ignore imo. Instead of bolasie and aarons, I could do Lens and Ritchie. You reckon this is any better?
I'm almost sure you could easily save 6-7m in attack and still get the same or better points on early rounds from there, without having to enjoy all the 1 pointers from defence.
Make it 8-10m.
You get much much more points from attacking returns on this game. Panti will get save points and possible motm. Naughton looks solid for cleanioes puls tackling bonus. Jenkinson and morgan look good bets for clean sheets plus assists and goals respectively.
If I did downgrade by strikers, would you recommend downgrading rooney or aguero?
Leicester might struggle on the clean sheets I reckon, so Morgan could be a big gamble if thats the only reasoning on having him in
Amavi from villa a better bet? Or go for elphick/martin and upgrade a midfielder?
Great team imo. Leiecester will struggle to keep cs under ranieri imo. Amavi id go for great in preason and really attacking.

Downgrade the defence slightly (although it looks solid) to upgrade cattermole/sakho. I wouldn't get fuchs cos of rotation issues with schlupp (morgan is cheaper I believe)

Thinking of going 2 big hitter midfielders and 3 mid priced ones (hazard, ramsey, ritchie, lens and payet) as opposed to 3 premium ones and 2 'cheapies'. Reckon this is a good plan or should I go with something like henderson/milner with someone very cheap like redmond or aarons?
depends on captain options i guess. im weighing up the two options myself

Payet does look great for value, as well as Sakho, but is it just me that is concerned by a Europa League run that could really effect their season? Or is everyone taking advantage of West Ham's early start as they're in a much better match-fitness position?
true - west ham could go 5 games without a win, but payet could pick up 3 assists and a goal lol I'm sticking with him

I tink Payet has great potential to be the lallana type player from Saints. Same price too (back then) i think
good point, I'm torn between him and Ibe. think he could be a gem this year but perhaps later in the season. Payer's value seems to good to ignore, plus i expect him on set pieces & a likely motm contender as you said in article
I did Sky last year for the first time but was awful and gave up after 6 weeks
Say if you have Clasie or Idrisse Gueye who are not very attacking @5.7m each but are very good statistically, are they more likely to score more than the more attacking Mahrez, Sinclair or Lens who are only slightly more expensive
Clasie has potential for that but Obiang for 5.1 has that too, or Capoue at 5
I prefer the flair option (mahrez / Aarons etc) but i can go either way

Save the transfers and go for 5m ish players i think, hurts the midfield but there are always little gems in midfield further down the line
great midfield. not sure on Elphick, lot of people seem to have him though, can you see Bournemouth keeping many clean sheets?
Not at all really, its more to do with the fact he is nailed on to start in my opinion.
Hopefully after a few weeks someone within the budget bracket from a slightly better team will become available (Haidara?). I may have to downgrade the midfield to end up with Ward - Jenkinson - Amavi.
You know players stay the same value all season on sky, right? Ward would be good, my weak link at the back is Bennett of Norwich. morr value in midfielders than defenders though so not too bothered

Oooh tough decision that one. I am very keen on Walcott this year and think he could do very well. Saying that Arrons is very injury prone and the fixtures are awful for him. Mahrez looked good at the end of last season.
Think I would pick Walcott and Aarons but only just.

Team looks strong. But would suggested replacing Sterling for a more budget-friendly option and invest in a heavy hitter to replace Pelle. When Aguero is fit and scoring and you dont have him you will be punished..
apologies for CAPS lol... Ye Aguero will be in for Sterling after game week 2, Pelle I think will be top scorer in forst few weeks.
agree on Pelle. Im in the same boat though i don't know how I'm going to accommodate Aguero when he's back, although i do think it will take him a couple of weeks to get in his stride once he's back

I like it. Midfield is good. Chadders is the punt there. There are no players at 7m or under who will get passing bonus I think so it's whoever gets the assists/goals/motm awards.
Not convinced by defence. Gomez is a risk and is Schlupp even nailed these days?

Additionally how would someone like Sigurdsson stack up against Chadli do you think? Worse fixtures to start...
