There is nothing to separate Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane (both 1.72) at the top of Paddy’s reckoning for an anytime goal. The City striker has amassed five strikes in his previous three outings but now collides with a Leicester City defence that’s recorded five clean sheets in their last six outings. Meanwhile, Kane boasts three goals in four and welcomes Watford to White Hart Lane. The Hornets defence have shipped eight goals over their last six, recording just a single shut-out – against Chelsea in midweek.
Liverpool’s attack is highly fancied by Paddy heading into their Anfield meeting with struggling Sunderland: both Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino are priced at the 1.83 mark for an anytime goal. That makes the Brazilian the most fancied midfielder to score in the Gameweek, although team-mate Adam Lallana is not far behind in Paddy’s reckoning at 2.40.
The confidence in Liverpool looks to be slightly misplaced, given that the Reds notched three blanks in their last five matches. Moreover, the Black Cats’ new-look defence stifled Man City’s attack in midweek, restricting them to six attempts and two shots on target.
Graziano Pelle and Charlie Austin are both backed at 2.20 for Southampton’s home tie against West Ham United. Paddy’s faith in the Saints’ forward line stems from the fact that the south-coast outfit won their previous three fixtures at St Mary’s Stadium by an aggregate of 9-0, trouncing the likes of West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal.
Olivier Giroud (2.29) has been pinpointed as the Gunners’ biggest threat when they make the trip to Bournemouth. The Frenchman failed to net in his last three starts but may just struggle against a Cherries back line that mustered two shut-outs in their previous three home clashes.
CLEAN SHEET ODDS – GAMEWEEK 25

Tottenham | 2.00 |
Southampton | 2.10 |

Manchester City | 2.40 |
Swansea | 2.40 |
Arsenal | 2.50 |

Aston Villa | 2.62 |
Liverpool and Tottenham (both 2.00) have been handed the shortest clean sheet odds ahead of their respective home encounters. Again, Paddy’s backing of Jurgen Klopp’s side looks a little generous – the Reds’ defence are widely inconsistent and have shipped 12 goals in their last six league outings, keeping just one shut-out.
The Spurs odds look more understandable – they conceded just 19 goals over the season – fewer than any other BPL side. While that’s translated to just eight clean sheets over 24 matches, visitors Watford have notched a paltry four goals in their last six, promoting the appeal of Mauricio Pochettino’s rearguard this weekend.
Southampton (2.10) go in pursuit of their fifth successive shut-out as they host West Ham at St Mary’s. While Ronald Koeman’s side are in outstanding defensive form – bolstered by the displays of Frazer Forster – again, Paddy’s odds seem a little generous here. The Hammers have scored 12 goals in their last six league matches and will arrive on the south coast full of confidence and possibly boosted by the return of Andy Carroll as a “Plan B” option up front.
At the other end of the country, Man City (2.40) will attempt to rebuff a Foxes attack that charts joint-second for goals scored (44) this term. While we’re expecting fireworks in this encounter, given that the Leicester and Man City defences have allowed just four goals between them over their last six, there’s every chance that goals will be at a premium.
Chelsea are up next with odds of 2.37 for a clean sheet against an improving Man United. Guus Hiddink’s side go into Sunday’s Stamford Bridge meeting fresh from their fourth shut-out in six Gameweeks following the stalemate at Vicarage Road.
Newcastle (2.40) search for their first clean sheet in 10 outings when the Baggies – who’ve scored a solitary goal in three fixtures – arrive at St James’ Park. Swansea (2.40) are valued in line with the Toon prior to their Liberty Stadium meeting with Crystal Palace, who’ve registered just two goals in seven outings. Given the Eagles current form and their lengthy injury list, the Swan’s odds look a little long.
