Sven’s headaches have begun in earnest after City lost both their first and second choice keepers to injury on the eve of the season kick-off. Andreas Isaksson was forced out of today’s friendly against Valencia with a hairline fracture of the thumb while second choice Joe Hart is also out with a knock. Isaksson will be absent for at least 4-weeks although Hart will be back in training within a week or so. Kasper Schmeichel stepped into the side for today’s game but Sven has already said that he’ll bring in a new keeper this week who seems likely to be thrown in against West Ham on Saturday. I suppose injuries aren’t all that much of problem when you’ve a big open chequebook at your disposal.
