John Terry has not suffered a broken metatarsal. The Chelsea skiper limped from the field in today’s clash with Arsenal after just 40 minutes with what appeared to be a metatarsal injury [source]. However initials scans have calmed those fears although there could be ligament damage.

“He’s not feeling well. He hasn’t broken anything, but we will wait until tomorrow to see how he is. With his ligaments we will wait until tomorrow”, remarked Avram Grant tonight.

Terry was on the wrong end of an Eboue challenge that left the Arsenal man with a booking and the Chelsea skipper in agony. He limped on in midfield for a few minutes but was withdrawn shortly before Arsenal got their winning goal on the stroke of half-time.

Arsenal’s Eboue was also injured in the game, a match which threatened to boil up with every heavy challenge. Eboue was stretchered from the field in the second-half.

No doubt there will be more on those injuries in the next 24-hours.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
