Just four results to bring you from The Fantasy Football Scout Cup, sponsored by Paddy Power, this week. The fixtures took place during Gameweek 11, and the winners progress to the semi-finals in Gameweek 13. Here is how they played out…
Fixture 1: Pure Olivia 65 – 76 donnellyc
With a respectable score of 65, Pure Olivia bows out in the quarter-finals to donnellyc. The difference ultimately, was Van Persie’s haul.
Fixture 2: Breakballartist 83 – 74 Leeds_Champion
The two highest ranked managers left in the competition faced each other in the quarter-finals last week in what was the highest scoring tie. Breakballartist powered past Leeds_Champion with a great score of 83. Yet again Breakballartist was the top scorer in a round, earning him back-to-back free £25 bets courtesy of Paddy Power. Now ranked 14th in the world, he is a clear favourite to take home the £200 winners prize, as well perhaps picking up another free bet or two.
Fixture 3: George 44 – 54 Barkerov
A very low-scoring tie saw Barkerov progress to the semi-finals despite his first visit to the millionaires club. A far better captaincy decision and a solid double gameweek performance from Agbonlahor was enough to knock out George, who will be ruing his captain Milner earning him a solitary point. Barkerov goes into the semi-finals with the tag of underdog, after he slipped out of the top 10,000 last week.
Fixture 4: Sam (Team Sam) 72 – 74 Poshleftme
Easily the closest match-up of the round saw Poshleftme squeeze past Sam (Team Sam) by a slender two points. Carlton Cole’s early injury in the Villa game put the tie to bed.

With an off-week in the cup, and an international break, we’ll be building up the semi-finals in the days leading up to the gameweek 13 deadline. A nervy wait perhaps for the final four (with the draw taking place in the next podcast), but even if they suffer defeat they have the opportunity to win £50 in the 3rd placed play-off. All eyes will be on the main prize of reaching the final for a guaranteed £100 however. Although with two Irishmen, a Australian and an American comprising the final four, maybe I should be talking in euros and dollars.
