The international break is now just minutes away from being a relic of the past alongside the reliant robin, betamax and David Bentley and we can all breath a sigh of relief… almost. We’ve go only about an hour to go until the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline closes once more and it’s time for the last minute panic over the minutiae of our fantasy squads…

“Newcastle have not been getting the results at home recently, can I trust them?”

Despite the recent off-putting results, a home tie versus Wigan indicates a favourable opportunity and this weeks Scout Picks back up that claim.

“Are my core strikeforce of English heavyweights Rooney, Carroll and Bent going to start this week?”

Our team news thinks that they will all make it onto the pitch this coming weekend, alongside the opinion on every squad in the Premier League.

“Is there anybody even left for me to captain?”

Don’t be so melodramatic, of course there is. Even with the absence of arguably FPL’s two biggest stars (Cesc and Drogba) the Captain’s Poll this week is showing great favour to Luis Nani, and slightly less so Carlos Tevez.

Questions like these and many more are undoubtedly burning in the minds of the last-ditch Larry fantasy manager, so we’ve gone and opened the Saturday Surgery chatroom so everyone can gather together and try to make a semblance of this mess before the clock hits the deadline.

Re Tevez: What chat there is has I think come about because Mancini needs to:

a) discourage Argentina from taking away his star player
b) try to put Tevez in his place and imply that no-one is undroppable
and c) keep Adebayor happy

However,

1) Tevez has an engine like a nuclear sub
2) I think this is too important a game to lose by risking anyone other than him up front
and 3) Adebayor can f*** off

      Nani the safe option as even on a fail looks like the majority would fail with you so comparative blow softened.
      
      Overall points score will be higher in the Utd than Citeh game I think but Tevez has less competition to share them with.

RMWCT plz.Need some final touchups:

Foster,Krul,
Samba,O'Shea,Mummy,Jara,Konchesky,
Nani,Nasri,Malouda,VdV,Adam,
Drogba,Tevez,Odemwingie.(0.1 in the bank)

The only thing remaining is to ship out ODW and bring Elmander in but don't know how to do it.Will have to sell Konchesky for Coleman probably,but I had brought Konch in for 5.0 and now he's on 5.1,so don't know if it is worth it.What do you all think?
Also,I can't see a way of bringing Fabs back in GW 10 even with two free transfers,so will have to take a hit in all probability.Guys,any opinions are welcome.

Currently contemplating Bale - Dempsey due to fixtures. Considering I've had Bale since the start, does this seem a bit of a rash transfer or will Dempsey's fixtures make it pay off?
