The ticking time bomb that is the Saturday morning deadline looms as Fantasy Managers far and wide deliberate the hot topics for the week. The good ship Fantasy Panic may be going down, but don’t worry there’s more than enough space on the lifeboats for everyone…

“Are there any cheap teams I can look to invest in, I’ve got a Drogba and Fabregas itch and it requires penny pinching in my squad?”

Earlier in the week I “Frisked the Fixtures” and came up with West Brom, Blackpool and West Ham as viable candidates. The consensus agrees as Chris Brunt has shot up our watchlist and two other Baggies men join the Scout Picks. Four nil to Fulham this afternoon it is then.

“How do you solve a problem like Malouda?”

Carlo Ancelotti didn’t go the whole hog and let us know his line-up for the weekend, just assurances on Jose Bosingwa and Didier Drogba making returns, but we’ve backed the Italian to name his strongest XI possible in our team news. You never know though, with Kakuta and Kalou in the wings stranger things have happened.

“What’s the captain consensus for this week?”

Really? Need you even ask? Didier the Lionheart was the resounding yes in our captain’s poll this gameweek. If, like me, you don’t have him well then… close your eyes, cross your fingers and count to ten.

How do I make the perfect apple crumble?”

Wrong website my friend…

“…and what about the cup?

You can find the results of round one via this link and the 256 lucky managers to still be in the reckoning can check up on their opponents for round two by clicking here.

Questions like these and undoubtedly a whole cavalcade more are running through the minds of fantasy managers pushing the boat out on their time-keeping skills, so as per usual we’ve opened the Saturday Surgery chatroom so y’all can hash it out with one and all and hopefully make a masterpiece out of the mania.

Malouda to captain over Drogba? Both should score goals but Malouda might get assists too? Can't make my mind up!

Seems like scaremongering from a couple of idiots of twitter. I looked at both of their accounts it seems as if both of them are about 16...

You'd have thought that if he had snapped his ACL then we'd have probably heard something about it. How come you need him to play anyway? I'm just benching....

I asked this last night but you probably didn't see... Do you know where you're sitting at the Bridge today?
