Gameweek nine is concluded today with the final three fixtures taking place. The first of a televised double-bill, sees Manchester United take that dreaded annual trip to the Britannia Stadium.
There’s no surprise that Wayne Rooney is an absentee for the visitors, and that hands an opportunity to young Javier Hernandez to partner Dimitar Berbatov upfront. Elsewhere, Gary Neville gets a game a right-back, pushing John O’Shea into a midfield position.
The home side line-up as predicted. Boring…
Stoke City XI: Sorensen, Huth, Shawcross, Faye, Collins, Pennant, Wilson, Delap, Etherington, Walters, Jones
Man United XI: Van der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, O’Shea, Scholes, Nani, Hernandez, Berbatov
Then it’s off to Eastlands for the interesting match-up between Man City and Arsenal, where I need a Tevez no-show to stand any chance of a round three place in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III.
That games kicks off at 4pm, but before that (and untelevised thankfully) is Blackburn’s visit to Anfield at 3pm.
