With no early fixture this gameweek, we are forced to twiddle our thumbs whilst waiting for the afternoon fixtures. At least we have five 3pm kick-off’s to enjoy and, for most of us, see how our captain choices get on…
The bulk of which are at the Emirates today as Arsenal take on West Ham United. The fortunes of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Marouane Chamakh are the key things to look out for, as most of us expect the away side to get a drubbing.
Having been held there last year, Chelsea have what many would consider a potentially tricky away fixture at Blackburn Rovers. In this game is another favourite for captaincy this week, Didier Drogba, who has a great record against Rovers.
Another game which will be closely followed is Everton’s game against Stoke City. There has been lots of investment in Everton players this week all over the pitch. Leighton Baines and Tim Cahill both made the Scout Picks this week, Seamus Coleman remains high on the transfer in list, Ayegbeni Yakubu is also attracting some investment, and there is always Mikel Arteta lurking about.
With Carlos Tevez in Argentina, there perhaps not as much focus on Manchester City’s visit to Wolves this week as there would have been. Nor will there be many eyes on Wigan’s trip to Craven cottage.
Team news is trickling in by the minute, so keep your eyes on the comments to see what it will bring.
In the evening game, Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur, who have not won at Old Trafford in over 20 years.
Keep up-to-date with all the goings on in today’s Dugout Discussion.
