It’s time for Monday Night Football to bedazzle our television screens once more as we look forward to Blackpool hosting West Brom. Not many people would have expected that sentiment even at the beginning of the season, but this has the making of a great game, and if the past is any indication we’ll be in for a hum dinger of a game as the two respective fixtures last season saw 10 goals in total.

Nil-nil is clearly on the cards then now that’s jinxed, and the team news let’s us know that Charlie Adam has recovered from his stitched up ankle to pass muster for Blackpool while Elliot Grandin comes in for Marlon Harewood. On the back of his two goal haul at Leicester (damn him), Simon Cox comes in with Pablo Ibanez for the injured duo of James Morrison and Jonas Olsson for the traveling West Brom. Peter Odemwingie is nowhere to be seen, still…

Blackpool XI: Gilks; Eardley, Evatt, Cathcart, Crainey; Vaughan, Adam, Grandin; Taylor-Fletcher, Varney, Campbell

West Brom XI: Carson; Jara, Tamas, Ibanez, Shorey; Scharner, Mulumbu; Brunt, Cox, Thomas; Fortuné

If you’re looking for some matchday banter then join our floodlight Dugout Discussion as West Brom look to break into the Champions League places (not a typo) and Blackpool look for their first home victory of the season.

Amidst the euphoria (or not) of the recently past gamesweek anybody care to pass a comment on the following proposals for my team:

Next gw: Malouda > VdV (injury permitting) & Bos > Vidic (4 pt hit - last one for a while hopefully)

    Gw 12: Konchesky > Alex

I'm thinking of getting rid of Malouda too. Everyone has him and he's not really producing enough in my mind to warrant his expense. United look as resolute as anyone at the back and Vidic seems to be getting his goalscoring eye back in so I reckon both are good calls.

eh, malouda is maybe not greater than vdv. also, i think vidic > bos. Defintely disagree on you on your last one there, Alex is definitely > than konchesky

There's a lot of ownership of Malouda in my money mini-league so it's a highly risky strategy, but Drogba is enough coverage for me at present I think.

Too much money invested in Malouda and if VdV stays fit he'll score well v Bolton, Sunderland and Blackburn. I'm heading there. Watching him live in the United game finally got the penny to drop.

Vidic is £0.7m more expensive tha Ferdinand but less injury prone and will get you the odd goal. I think they are definite transfers for me this week.

I'll worry about Alex when gw12 comes around...

Ok lads (and ladies), thoughts on John O'shea? I really need to sort out my defence and the only way I can afford to bring anyone in is to get rid of him. Do you think he will play next week. Would hate to sell before a game that looks as certain a cleanie as any.

Thought Rafael did a decent job up against Bale so was surprised when Fergie brought him off.

Too much rotation there with Neville and Wes Brown (what's happened to him?) so only Vidic/Evra/Ferdinand (all pricey) seem the most secure options.

Still, I had a win streak of 7 though...

Jeez. Just finished watching that game on Sky+, I chose to initially watch Spooks instead, and West Brom are an absolute credit to themselves. Heroic performance from them..

Although this game is an absolute joke at times. No WBA players getting BPs is a complete farce, and how Adam got 2 after giving the ball away time after time after time is completely beyond me.

Bringing Dorrans on was a masterstroke from Di Matteo I though, he knew that the only way we'd stand a chance is on the counter and obviously Fortune is the last person you want the ball to fall to when you break away. We basically played with no strikers for the whole game and only lost to a lucky penalty!

It's almost as if those f*cktards don't even watch the games. They just look at the stats and see that Adam has made a few 4 yard passes against a side with nine men. Oh, and he scored a penalty, that always helps.

You might recall a post I left here Thursday or Friday night expressing concerns over the frenzy of getting Fabregas into everyones team. Don't get me wrong I was all over that bandwagon but I made the point that everytime we get into these frenzies there's always an anti-climax and rivals who may not use this site seem to benifit. My rival captained Tevez this week and has been fortunate enough to have auto captain reward Nani with the armband. Have these bandwagons ever paid off?? And does auto captain give a get out of jail card to the unobservant

I see you bought into it anyway. I wouldn't worry about it. Fabregas is class and at 11.8 you're getting him for a snip. But for the Heroics of Rob Green he could have had a hatfull of points and that was despite him playing the "Worst first half of his career". They're just lovely budget options that I would be happy to rotate as part of a front two allowing me a bigger budget upgrade midfield/defence. I'm just not convinced about Hernandez quite yet.

However should you require some sort of answer, I would say Odemwingie as his injury saga still shows no sign of ending.

Pretty different to the VDV scenario though. That was just a crappy article where they figured that he might have a hamstring injury, and therefore may be out for around three weeks.

This is I trust, especially coming from the Guardian.

Your H2H opponents will be facing a guy who has a player who won't play on his starting XI, which means they have the horrible feeling of waiting until the very end of the GW when Jara is autosubbed by a probable high-scoring player.

Its going to be a hard Captains choice this GW. I was set on Cesc again but Newcastle looked solid with Barton and Tiote in the middle. Not sure how much time Cesc will get on the ball, especially as hes not as sharp as he can be. Nani against Wolves is tempting but after scoring big this week he could flop. I need a good performance from my captain, the last 5 GW they have done sweet f all.
