Fulham’s home form under Roy Hodgson was key to their success in recent seasons; 36 of their 46 points last term came at home, as well as 8 of their 12 clean sheets. Despite the change in manager over the summer, the pattern this season hasn’t changed. They have picked up a respectable 9 points in five home games so far, but are still without a win away from home.

Thankfully, Fulham have the luxury of three home games in the next four, and begin their kind run of fixtures by playing host to Man City, who despite their wealth of attacking talent have struggled to find the net recently. Another home game follows with a visit from struggling Birmingham, then Arsenal away, before another home game against Sunderland. We can probably expect at least one, maybe even two clean sheets from this run, and so the likes of Salcido, Hughes and Hangeland are now firmly on our radar.

While Aaron Hughes and Stephen Kelly offer cheaper routes into the Fulham defence, the crown jewel in the Fulham defense is surely Brede Hangeland. His aerial ability and confidence on the ball has attracted the attention of several big name clubs over the years, with good reason. It’s not just his defensive qualities that make him such an appealing Fantasy prospect though, his strength in the air means he goes up for most corners and set pieces and has bagged two goals already this season as a result.

While Hangeland may not be the most exciting of picks, he offers a level of consistency that seems so hard to come by this season. Along with Aaron Hughes, Hangeland has played every minute of every game so far, and with so many other defenders nursing injuries or at risk of rotation due to European commitments, his reliability and kind fixtures make him a very smart choice right now. While 5.6 may seem like a lot of money to spend on a Fulham defender, as with Gary Cahill at Bolton, sometimes it makes sense to pay that little bit extra for potential at both ends of the field with the potential for Bonus Points thrown in.

Right, more thoughts on the Nani/Fabs debate. 3 times more Nani owners than Fab owners, so if you wanna make up some ground, maybe captain Fabs would be the ideal differential? You may not get many chances to captain him in the coming weeks with fixtures.

None really, just money is getting tight for the future changes I want to make. I can afford 0.2 so may just see what happens. Just rising tomorrow at the start of a new GW means he would be less likely to rise again during the week. Whereas if he rises tonight he will most likely rise early next week before the champions league games.

Back from Harry Potter, anyone seen it? What do you think of it, I loved it and it was a bloomin quick 2 and half hours for me, my mates thought the opposite.

Anyways time for transfers. Elmo -> Kolarov and Piquionne -> Elmander, 4 point hit, sound good? And no I cannot get Vidic instead of Kolarov and/or Davies instead of Elmander.

Unfortunately, no. We ended up trying to book the tickets on Wednesday as my mate who was sorting it didn't and pulled out because he couldn't afford it. There were still tickets but you have to pay by card and well, we don't have one of those yet. And you need the card holder present to collect the tickets. We were getting the train up there without the card holder. But were now going on the 27th Harlequins Vs London Irish (December).

    Evening all,

Quick Question: Foster and Malouda out for:

    a) Jaaskelainen and Cahill or
    b) Van der Sar and Kalou (possibly to Essien later).

    What do you think?

            Fabianski, (Foster)

            Jags, Shawcross, Konchesky (Coleman, Dann)

Fabregas, Van der Vaart, Malouda, Nani (Barton)

            Odem, Drogba, Carroll

@ free transfers. Want Cahill and VDS, but am thinking that Jaask and Schwarzer have fixtures that dovetail nicely with Fabianski.

Hey everyone, can I grab some advice?

I'm thinking of dropping Cashley - is this madness?

    A) Sell Cashley (8.3) for Vidic (7.6)

    Or

    Sell Cashley (8.3) for Kolarov/Bosingwa (5.7)/(5.6)

    Brunt (5.7) for VDV (8.3)

    For a -4 point hit

    Or leave it?

I think I'm going to spend the next 12 hours pondering over whether to hit the button on a Malouda to VDV 4 point hit.

I know VDV is playing Arsenal but I think there will be goals from both teams.

I've said Ill get rid of Malouda lots of times but never have, but now his France performance is putting doubts in my mind. I'll cry when I take the hit and VDV does nothing and Malouda scores a couple!

I could wait until next week but I have other transfers I want to make.

VDV's returns will more then likely reduce over the next few weeks.

Harry will most likely play 4-4-2 now Defoe is back, which means VDV will be pushed out onto the right and no longer will be the second striker.

I finally took the plunge this evening and dropped Malouda since having him since day one. Having 3 chelsea players with the current form and fixtures isn't sensible IMO. He may come good but he generally does best at home and most of there next few games are away and I think he maybe quiet for a couple of months then explode after new year like last year, plus he'll be playing deeper this weekend.

benching VdV is never a good idea, though I don't know who I'd trade him with

Used to be the Hitman until he returned, now i've lost some respect for him. Heartbreak Kid for me.

Not seen it for years now.. shame that he's sold his dignity by making a comeback. Always loved HBK.

Just had wrestling inflicted on me at a mates. There was a TNA classics show on. Tag cage match from a few years ago, someone did a hurricarana off the top of the cage. Freaking mental.
