Seamus Coleman has been a highly sought-after choice for Fantasy Managers so far this season, with a telling current ownership of 8.4% in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Everton’s shortage of natural right-sided midfielders has meant that the Irishman, who generally favours the right-back position, has had to slot into a new role on the flank. The “Out of Position” (OoP) defender has done a notable job, picking up an respectable 43 points in the FPL game so far this season, and priced at just £4.9 million it’s easy to see why the 22 year-old has become such a desirable choice.

In his last six games Coleman has only completed 90 minutes twice and was even benched for the game against Bolton on November 10. It seems that the bright start he made at the beginning of the season has teetered off in recent weeks and David Moyes could now be looking for another solution. The return to fitness of Jack Rodwell and Victor Anichebe has bolstered Moyes’ options and the threat to Coleman’s starting role is now building, giving his opportunist Fantasy owners a cause for concern…

After shaking off his ankle injury, Jack Rodwell is perhaps the biggest threat to Coleman’s starting role. The England U21 international has come off the bench in the Toffee’s last two games and even directly replaced Coleman during the 2-2 draw at Sunderland on Monday.

Victor Anichebe, although primarily a striker, is another option for the troubled right midfield position; he has comfortably filled this role in the past. Having been ruled out all season so far with a knee problem, Anichebe impressed by scoring on his return for the reserves and is vying for a first team recall. A bench role against West Brom at Goodison this weekend looks likely, with Rodwell pushing to start ahead of Coleman in that potentially profitable home fixture.

With this uncertainty of regular match time looming over Coleman and Sunderland’s Elmohamady already diminished as a cheap “out of position” option, FPL Managers will be looking for similarly priced defensive replacements to fill the void.

Phil Bardsley (£4.3 million) of Sunderland could be a promising option with the Black Cats currently on a good run of form and an ownership of just 1.1%. Blackburn’s Phil Jones (£4.5 million), ever-present this season, presents a less attacking “out of position” prospect; he faces a kind run of opponents after the weekend trip to Old Trafford. Birmingham’s Scott Dann (£4.8 million) who is has picked up 52 points, has proved a popular choice, although Birmingham’s fixtures remain tough in the weeks to come. Having said that, Dann and his team-mates have defied the odds to pick up consecutive clean sheets against City and Chelsea over the previous two Gameweeks.

There are options then and it’s perhaps too early to knee jerk and oust Coleman just yet, but Moyes’ teamsheet come Saturday’s clash with the Baggies will certainly be a concern for Coleman’s many Fantasy owners.

And I wasnt messing or Wuming that night at all.

Reminds me of summer. In a bar in Turkey watching England game with English supporters and camera went to beckham and everyone "legend!"

Yes of course I rate him. And I liked him but I hate brand beckham.
He must get an awful ribbing from his ex team mates

I can imagine when he visits scholes and the lads

So Becks Fifa voted you the best player ever again?
So why arent you half the player Scholes is so ....etc.

Never had such a hard time finding a replacement for fabregas.

Looked at Silva , Young , Milner , Downing , Artta Cahill , Nzogbia
Nasri Arshavin , Bale , Kuyt , Rodreges, Malouda

There is no one that really stands out. The obvious is Cahill , however after this week hes away at chelsea. Arsenal too have tough fixtures. Even temppted to keep fabs seat warm with Malouda or Kalou.
Dont think Silva will like it at stoke and he only sems to play for 70 minutes
Villa , tough fixturs too , and liverpool at tottenham dosent appeal
So im thinking either Nasri Arshavin Cahill or Arteta

I chose Nasri if that's any help to you.

He scores really well playing in the same creative role as Fabs. He's also on set pieces and penalties, and he's got decent form. Fixtures are a bit tough, but Arsenal are still a really good side, so there's no reason why they can't win regardless.

Nasri's also the player I would most like to have in my team through a tough spell. Cahill's good form might not keep up, Bale has tough fixtures and I'd be doubling on Spurs, likewise for Malouda and Chelsea, Kuyt will lose his penalty duty to Gerrard, and the others are just inferior choices.

Following Nasri's performance in the absence of Fabregas. That's precisely the move I have in mind.

Captain wise i think Drogba is the one.

Newcastle without Barton Williamson and Collocini . completely new central defence and missing their midfield bulldog.

Drogba should run amok , Second i would go for elamander ahead of Nani

      Drogba for me too.

It's doubly good because so many people have sold him recently. A good score would be perfect payback, especially in the overall leaderboard with quite a few Drogba-less teams.

Interesting 2 sessions so far. Australia need to get into the tail today or it could be an even day for both teams.

Who should I play this weekend?

    Foster Hahnemann
    Coleman Kolarov Simpson Konchesky Elmo
    N'Zogbia VdV Nasri Nani Ehterington
    Tevez Drogba Carroll

Bench Elmo cause he's only getting 5 minutes per game. Bench Simpson cause Chelsea will score at least a couple. And VdV might be out injured.

Im tipping VdV to play myself. Which leaves a choice between Carroll and Etherington

My team is going to look awful if VdV is out as well as Fabs. 22m on the bench.

Well you have options but don't want to take them.

I already used my free transfer to bring in Elmander, and I don't really see any replacements for VdV and Fab that would make me feel like it's a good idea to dump them. Not this week.

What should I do with my transfer? I already did Drogba to Tevez so now that Fab is inj I'll have to make my 1 remaning transfer to Fab but who should I replace? Fab with Nani or Nasri?? I wish I didn't do the Drog transfer eariler or I would have enough money to have Tevez Drogba and Torres in my front 3 🙁
