Packed with eight Premier League fixtures, it goes without saying that today is massive for us fantasy managers. First we’re off to back off to Villa Park for Aston Villa’s game against Arsenal, and there is some interesting team news…

Two-time Premier League winner with Arsenal, Robert Pires starts for Aston Villa against his old club. John Carew also makes a comeback to the starting line-up as predicted.

The visitors are of course without their captain Cesc Fabregas, and Robin van Persie still isn’t deemed fit enough to start. Tomas Rosicky comes in, but Theo Walcott only has a place on the bench.

Here are the line-ups in full…

Aston Villa XI: Friedel, Luke Young, Dunne, Collins, Warnock, Ashley Young, Clark, Bannan, Downing, Pires, Carew

Arsenal XI: Fabianski, Sagna, Squillaci, Koscielny, Clichy, Rosicky, Song, Wilshere, Nasri, Chamakh, Arshavin

Then, with no evening fixture, we have seven 3pm games to keep us occupied. Possibly the most highly anticipated game today is Bolton Wanderers Vs. Blackpool. Crazy. Elsewhere, joint-top-of-the-table Manchester United host Blackburn Rovers, West Brom travel to Goodison Park, Fulham face Birmingham City, Roberto Mancini’s Manchester City are at the Britannia Stadium, Wolves host Sunderland and Upton Park sees West Ham and Wigan Athletic battle it out.

    Lived to regret not doing Fab > Nasri last time he got injured and didn't make the same mistake again, thinking it could be the long term right move as well.

    how did fabiasnski get the assist? was there not a one two in mid field?

      I think that Fabianski assist is very dubious as well. The ball was aimed for noone and took heavy deflections of one or possibly even two Villa players.

        yeah i dunno.i thought nasri or chamack (someone with a polo-neck anyway!)got a touch...more wishful thinking more than anything else on my part i think.

            Yup it's lucky. Fabianski still manages to stay under the radar because of his high profile errors. Look at his record and you will see 50% cleanies.

              I have looked at the possibility of getting him in for Foster next week... I was initially planning to get Gordon in, but after all their injuries I think I'll pass.

              Depending on how I feel about getting rid of Foster, fixtures are terrible until the second wildcard, Fabianski could well be making an appearance in my side. Arsenal's fixtures alternate fairly well with Bolton's.

    Not sure if it's been said but the guy who is first in the world has messed up. He transferred Bale in, but didn't organise his new team, and Bale is his third sub!

      No, same here - coin-flip decision. I have a nasty feeling that after watching Cahill rake in the points recently, he's going to do naff all. Villa have been dreadful too. Could be a thrashing here.

      yes, time will tell, I also chose Cahill over Nasri, but it was the logical move based on recent form, but as we are all probably aware - every week is different in EPL.
