It’s official – Blackpool have postponed Saturday’s clash with Manchester United due to a frozen pitch.

There were discussions between Blackpool, Manchester United, the Premier League and Match Officials today and it was decided that referee Peter Walton would inspect the pitch. The official was reportedly concerned that certain areas of the surface would not thaw out in time for the planned kick off tomorrow.

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand broke the news and vented his disappointment via his Twitter page…

Blackpool game tomorrow called off due to the frozen pitch, so gutted tweeps. Hope anyone who booked accommodation+hire cars gets their money back.

Earlier we reported how this would affect Fantasy Managers far and wide. A rush of team shuffling and transfers will now be expected prior to tomorrow’s Fantasy deadline.

We await a re-scheduled date for the game which will then give us the first double Gameweek of the season.

I've got 3 United players, an injured VDV and Coleman.

Enrique out for Kyrgiakos
VDV out for Nasri

I was going to hold onto VDV (got him for 7.6) but I can't field 11 without losing him, Nasri has a good game tomorrow, and will rise in price tonight and probably tomorrow, which will help limit the capital loss.

  I'd only take a 4 point hit. You have Bosingwa and Coleman so one should start and the other should at least get minutes. Why would you get rid of Enrique when he's actually playing And playing West Brom? or is he injured..

I've seen a lot of comments about getting rid of Coleman. Granted, I've been trying but have been unable so far without taking a hit... no point if I'm happy with the defenders in the team and can bench him currently.

It's worth noting that he seems to play most games against stiff opposition, suggesting Moyes wants a more defensive minded midfield for tougher games. With a decent run of games behind them and Arteta out I'd expect him to get a game tomorrow? Does anyone else think similar?

I;ve got a couple of teams. Before I knew the games were off I went for an instinctive Wilshire in VDV out. And captain Wilshire.

Wilshire for a haul this weekend. Proper budget too and in while Fabs is out. !
